Come to the Scranton Lifeguard Open House at Weston Field, located at 982 Providence Road, Scranton, PA!
Every Friday starting April 22nd, from 1pm to 6pm we'll be having an open house for hiring lifeguards! Must be 15 years of age or older.
Have the opportunity to fill out the application and have on-the-spot interviews! *All certifications and courses will be provided by Scranton Parks and Rec*

Our city pools don't open as early in the season or have as long of hours without enough lifeguards, as we've seen in the past. Please spread the word and encourage people to apply. This is a great seasonal job for a high school or college student!

Enjoyed some Greek food yesterday. Today is the last day to get over there! Taking orders until 7pm. My favorites are the spanakopita and gyro!
We have 3 vacancies to fill on the City's Zoning Board. Appointments are for a 5-year term. The person must be a resident of the City of Scranton for a minimum of one year to apply. I'm excited to be a part of the newly formed Building Permit Taskforce. I believe residents will see many of the changes in the city that they hope to with reform to our city's licensing and permits structure. If you've experienced an issue in obtaining permits, I would be interested in hearing about those problems so that this taskforce can address them.
