Scranton Reads is a community reading event organized by the City of Scranton and the Albright Memorial Library.
Each year during the month of October, citizens of Scranton get together to read a great work of literature.

Our featured event is a live Zoom presentation and Q&A with the author of "Never Caught," Dr. Erica Armstrong Dunbar. Stay tuned because we will be sharing our full month-long list of events for Scranton Reads soon! This year, the Lackawanna County Children's Library will be joining us to read the youth version of Never Caught.
Need your free copy of the book? The Scranton Public Library locations will be distributing free copies of the book later this week! We will share more information very soon.
As part of Scranton Reads, the Lackawanna County Children's Library will be sharing the young readers version of the book, "Never Caught, The Story of Ona Judge." This is the biography of a courageous slave who dared runaway from George and Martha Washington. This part of our Novel Thoughts program which will be held on Wednesdays, February 10 and 17 via Zoom.
