After 48 years selling kegs of beer, cases of soda and six-packs of hard cider, Jim Schanz has sold Albany Beverage Center to two new owners.

𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐝𝐇𝐚𝐰𝐤 𝐇𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠𝐬 has officially closed on 𝟏𝟒 𝐄𝐥𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝.

The property consists of 𝟏𝟐 𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐮𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐬 and marks another strategic addition to our growing portfolio. Over the coming months, we will be completing extensive renovations focused on improving unit quality, common areas, and building systems.

We’ll be implementing operational and management efficiencies designed to enhance resident experience while strengthening long-term asset performance.

In May of 2016, we made the first real strides to redevelop the former Scotia Motel and reinvest into this great community. Our goal has been to create a product that will capture Capital Region tourism demand and assist the Village of Scotia alongside local businesses. Over the past two years we have made our vision become a reality and plan to open the Comfort Inn and Suites Schenectady in the Summer of 2018.
