What an extraordinary achievement for Matthew Smith, who absolutely nailed the 2026 Men’s Schenectady Classic, securing his very first win in truly dominating fashion! He shot an impressive 207, 9 under par over three days, leaving everyone in awe! Joe Fitzsimmons put up a valiant effort to take second place, while Dan Russo claimed third place with his stellar performance. The tournament had golfers on the edge of their seats all weekend, thanks to the challenging high winds that tested their mettle. Huge appreciation to everyone who braved the gusts, showing remarkable dedication and spirit!

The inaugural week of PGA HOPE has come to a close, culminating in a triumphant celebration as we welcomed distinguished veterans to our facility, where they were thanked for their service and introduced to our premier golf program. We eagerly anticipate continuing this exceptional 6 week program, which marks our inaugural year. Special thanks to Steve McCutcheon, Tracie Warner and Bud Abare!

We have taken your feedback to heart and acknowledge that the rough has become challenging enough to prompt consideration of its impact on your game. In all honesty, our investment in a new irrigation system two years ago has yielded significant improvements. Areas that were previously struggling now boast lush, vibrant grass, akin to the finer golf courses. While the height of the grass remains consistent with our standards, the increased thickness can make play more demanding. Nonetheless, we are committed to enhancing the golfing experience one well-manicured blade at a time. A moderate penalty is an inherent part of the game, serving as a reminder that good shots should be rewarded while less successful ones encourage reflection. We take pride in our course conditions, meticulously maintaining every aspect, including those areas not immediately visible. We appreciate your patronage and look forward to your enjoyment of the game in all its facets, including the challenges presented by the rough.
