Schenectady Municipal Golf Course

Are you as shocked as we are it’s Labor Day weekend already??? Make no mistake, it’s here! Looks like beautiful weather so the golf will be even better ⛳️ Enjoy!!

We get it. Sometimes
Frustration sets in when putts aren’t dropping, or that easy 100 yard wedge to a
Pin in the middle of the green went about 20 feet.
What we don’t get is why you take your frustrations out on our golf course by damaging our property.
Perhaps it’s time for therapy sessions, golf lessons or anger management?

Rick and Daniel will be on hole 17 Saturday and Sunday Aug 14-15 challenging golfers

The 2026 Team Wendy today! Wendy O’Connor was a wonderful educator, friend, Mother and family oriented individual! It’s terrific that this event has grown and her memory continues to live on. It was a beautiful day!

Our 2026 Senior Schenectady Classic is officially in the books. Congratulations to Jim Mueller on capturing his 9th Senior title shooting 66-69 135 over Paul Pratico.

Paul Hart won his first ever Super Senior Championship with scores of 70-77 147 over Jim McKillip.

Thank you to all who played and for a wonderful tournament these past two days! And a big shout out to Mother Nature for holding off the rain just enough for us😃

The juniors are crushing it right now. Another hole in one, this time on hole 6, 165 yards using an 8 iron. Congratulations Mason Lucey!!! A special thanks to Dennis Graham- Parker for sharing the photos.

Congratulations to Benett Flynn on his first hole in one today as he aced the 13th!! At only 14 years old, Benett sure has a promising golf career ahead of him! Way to go Bennet!!

Sadly, our Schenectady Municipal Family got a little smaller yesterday. Jay Hamel tragically passed away on the 18th hole. Jay was a wonderful person and a nicer guy you couldn’t find. He enjoyed the game so much and for what it’s worth, he was able to leave this world playing with individuals he adored and on a course he called his home. We will miss him terribly. Our deepest sympathies to his family and all who knew him.
