Come celebrate JUNETEENTH - together!! Friday, June 19th, 11a-4p >> Saratoga Regional YMCA is hosting our family event again ... and, yes, Ben & Jerry's of Saratoga is providing ice cream for our Jubilee Reception (with cake by Saratoga Bread Basket Bakery!)! Community tabling begins @ 11a, workshops & drum circle @ 11:30a, AND ... Cultural Celebration Program begins @ 1p. 🌈At CREATE, we celebrate PRIDE all year, and this Pride Month, we celebrate the power of belonging, creativity, and love. 🌈

And while we consider all our programs at CREATE. to be safe spaces, we want to highlight two important LGBTQ+ programs:

🌈 Rainbow Garden Club provides LGBTQ+ youth with a welcoming space to connect through expressive arts, gardening, and nature-based healing. Along with Saratoga Pride, we provide safe mentorship, fun activities and a chance for youth to just be their authentic selves. Together, we nurture creativity, resilience, community and connections.

Rainbow Garden Club meets on Fridays from 3:30-5 pm at Pitney Meadows Community Farm throughout the summer. We are grateful for our collaboration with Saratoga Pride and Pitney Meadows Community Farm for helping to make this space safe, supportive and fun for our LGBTQ+ youth community members.

🧶 Stitch & Bitch is a twice monthly q***r crafting & fiber arts meetup in Schenectady for adults. While Stitch & Bitch will be taking a month off in July, it will be back in August on the 1st and 3rd Mondays at our Schenectady studio. It’s a great place to connect with the local q***r community. 🌞 It was a great day at Beekman Art festival! 🌞

What a way to kick off summer! Thank you to everyone who stopped by the studio yesterday to make some art and learn more about what we do. It was a great day full of art and community!

❗🚨CERAMICS ALERT🚨❗
What are the chances???

Unfortunately both of our kilns went down at the same time, and due to national supply chain issues, we are not able to get the required parts in for several weeks.

🔹As a result, we won’t be able to fire any of your fabulous ceramics pieces, so we have to put CERAMICS programs on pause: 6/19-7/12!

Ceramics Studio members will receive direct communications from Kristi about next steps.

We certainly apologize for the inconvenience, but sometimes you just cannot predict this stuff.

It's another busy week at CREATE! Schenectady has Rhythm and Rhetoric on Thursday and Zentangle Intro on Sunday. Saratoga has Open Studio now on both Wednesday and Thursday, plus Studio Hours on Sunday. Theres so many opportunities for you to get creative!
