UPCOMING WEBINAR: collaboration between IEEE Women in Engineering and IEEE Young Professionals

Topic: "Paradigm Shift/Reframing"
Date: 12 September 2014
Time: 10:30 AM Eastern Time

Advancement and promotability for women has become a strategic topic for organizations around the world. Women make up approximately 50 % of the educational pipeline in most categories-in both undergraduate and graduate level programs. Women will continue to enter the workforce at higher numbers than men.

Female retention and promotion has become a strategic imperative for all types of organizations.

In order for women to leverage this scenario and move the needle forward as it pertains to advancing and crafting a future for their professional development and success, they need to reframe ideas, concepts, and stereotypes that have been in the way for them to enjoy full mobility and engagement- what many call the “glass ceiling”.

Our focus at Rodriguez and Associates, LLC is to help women and men reframe these behaviors and preconceived notions that derail or impede women from feeling fully empowered at work.

This webinar will touch on four key pillars: self -promotion, branding, the art of delegation, and creating a personal board.

The objective of the webinar will be to demystify these concepts, define its implications to women advancement and offer a practical schema on how to develop a personalized toolbox to enhance the participant’s capacity to undertake a proactive approach towards advancement at work.

Elisabet Rodriguez Dennehy is the founder and president of Rodriguez & Associates, a strategic consulting firm headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The firm specializes in a customized approach to women’s advancement in organizations, yielding an increase in retention, team performance, engagement and promotability.
