October 1. 17 years.
I don’t talk about this day all that often, but today is a pretty fu***ng important day in my life. Seventeen years ago today I started living a new life. And when I really sit with the fact that it has been 17 years, it’s kind of wild.
My life today looks absolutely nothing like my life did then. And I don’t mean that in some pretty “look how far I’ve come” kind of way. There was a whole lot of s**t between there and here. A lot of mistakes. A lot of figuring things out the hard way. A lot of starting over. And I’m still figuring s**t out because I’m pretty sure that part never ends.
But this morning I was thinking about the life I have now. I get to spend my days helping people feel better in their bodies. I work with plants. I teach. I play with tuning forks and energy and all the weird s**t I love. 😂 I have created a business that somehow holds all these pieces of me that never really fit neatly anywhere else.
Seventeen years ago I had absolutely no fu***ng idea that this was where I was headed.
Maybe that’s why today feels important to acknowledge. Because sometimes when you’re right in the middle of your life, you don’t realize how far you’ve actually traveled.
Today I do.
17 years living a new life. And I’m really fu***ng grateful for this one.
There’s something I’ve been thinking about lately…
Not everything needs to become a healing project.
We spend so much time trying to fix ourselves. Heal the wound. Release the trauma. Regulate the nervous system. Clear the energy. Eat better. Move more. Meditate. Journal. Take the herbs. Do the fu***ng work.
And listen… I believe deeply in the work. Obviously. 😂
But I also believe there has to be room in our lives where we aren’t constantly examining ourselves for the next thing that needs fixing.
Sometimes the medicine is making soup and eating it on the couch.
Sometimes it’s walking outside and noticing the leaves are changing.
Sometimes it’s laughing so hard your stomach hurts. Taking a nap. Petting the cat. Putting your bare feet on the ground. Sitting around a fire with people you love and talking about absolutely nothing important.
You are allowed to experience your life while you’re healing it.
Actually… I think that might be part of the healing too.
So this weekend, instead of asking yourself “What do I need to work on?”
Maybe ask…
“What would feel really fu***ng good to be alive for today?” 🌿🖤

🌿 This morning I want to talk about something really simple… eating with the season.
We’ve gotten so used to being able to buy pretty much anything we want, whenever we want it, that I think sometimes we forget our bodies are seasonal too.
Right now the earth is shifting. The mornings are cooler. The light is changing. Things are beginning to dry, drop, and pull inward. And meanwhile a lot of us are still expecting our bodies to have the same energy, appetite, motivation and rhythm they had in July.
Mine sure as hell doesn’t. 😂
This is the time of year I naturally start wanting warmer food. Roots. Squash. Apples. Soups. Mushrooms. Cinnamon. Ginger. More tea. Things that feel grounding and substantial instead of light and cooling.
There’s something beautiful about letting the season help decide what goes on your plate instead of constantly trying to override what your body is asking for.
So here’s your little Friday experiment…
Before you decide what you’re eating today, ask yourself: what actually sounds nourishing to my body right now?
Not what you should eat. Not what’s healthiest according to somebody on Instagram.
What sounds like nourishment?
I’d actually love to hear what everyone is craving as we move into fall. 🍎🍄🟫🌿

So excited to announce this offering ✨🙏🪄
FALL INTO THE RHYTHM
Fall has always felt like an invitation to me. The light changes. The trees begin to let go. The earth starts pulling her energy inward. There is a slowing happening all around us, and yet we are so often still running at full speed.
So I created something for the person who is tired of running.
Fall Into the Rhythm is my new 90-minute seasonal nervous system ritual. This is not sports massage. This is not deep tissue. We are not spending our time chasing knots or asking your body to tolerate more pressure. This offering was created around an entirely different question… what happens when we give the body permission to soften instead?
I’ll be weaving together some of the practices and medicines that have become such a beautiful part of my work, including Ayurveda, Blue Lotus, warm oil, vibrational healing, intentional touch and sound. Shirodhara and Abhyanga will both be part of this experience, but the rest I’m keeping sacred. You don’t need to know every step before you arrive. You just need to be willing to receive.
Think warmth. Rhythm. Oil. Vibration. Stillness. Ninety minutes where nothing is being asked of you. A space where we aren’t forcing tension out of the body, but creating the conditions for it to begin melting away on its own.
Fall reminds us that letting go doesn’t have to be forced. Sometimes it happens when we finally stop holding so tightly.
Come fall into the rhythm with me.
90 minutes | $222

there is so much unfolding this fall.... I woke up this morning thinking about just how much is unfolding at The Grounded Soul this fall. Some of it is new. Some of it is work I’ve been doing for years that is simply taking new shape. And some of it feels like the natural next chapter of everything I have spent the last decade building.
