The Gilded Age on HBO

STARTING TONIGHT
Schenectady County, and the City of Schenectady, welcomes back the production of HBO’s "The Gilded Age" to our iconic Historic Stockade District.

We appreciate your patience as we take this opportunity to show this distinct neighborhood in such a grand way!

While filming is underway there will be temporary parking restrictions, road closures, and a few 1880s-era transformations.

PLEASE NOTE:
NO PARKING restrictions begin tonight, Thursday 5/28 at 6PM
ROAD CLOSURES will be in effect on 5/29 from 6AM - 8PM

Alternative parking options have been arranged for Stockade Residents.

Very exciting news.... The Gilded Age is filming again in the Stockade! Filming will take place on May 29.

You felt Chris Hunter’s passion for history and science woven seamlessly into his conversations. It was easy to be educated in his presence. We had the pleasure of working with Chris over the years, from exhibits showcasing Schenectady’s importance in broadcast television, to his participation in Schenectady’s 2025 SciFi Film Festival, celebrating science and science fiction cinema. Chris shared stories of General Electrics history and global impact from the light bulb to wind turbines. Quick to get involved and impart knowledge whenever asked, Chris was a true treasure to the Capital Region and will be dearly missed.
