these siblings are a wild group
we shot for fun yesterday and i dont think ive ever had a shoot where we were laughing almost every minute
we were messing around about 70% of the time but i think those shoots tend to be the most memorable when i look back. just hangin out, having a good time, enjoying one another, and getting some great picssssss
anyways,
this is the first fall shoot of the season for me (just look at the foliage!!!!!!!) the foliage was so amazinggggg. I was very much in love with the leaves being all sorts of yellow and orange around us.

it is finally here. i spent time with the team dreaming, planning, and directing this shoot.
it took a lot of energy, effort, and vision to pull it all together but it’s finally releasing.
we wanted to create a video that screamed what this brand was about. this is about being different, living out your calling, being cut from a different cloth, etc.

i’m currently in holland, michigan taking a few days off.
it’s MUCH needed rest. i’ve been working like crazy this summer. especially this last month with multiple weddings, photo, & video shoots popping up.
i’m grateful to have work to do as that’s not true for a lot of people in these insane times we live in.
but i am happy to take a pause lol. going 100mph isn’t sustainable 😂

i met demetri on tuesday and he turned out to be and absolute stud
i’m thankful i’m still getting the opportunities to meet people / develop relationships / take cool pics of new people that i meet even though we are in the midst of a pandemic that doesn’t seem to be going away
but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. thankful that jesus is presenting opportunities like this even in the midst of non ideal circumstances

a few days ago i got to shoot a quarantine session with austin.
as much as i love taking photos of people and getting to show off who they are this shoot felt so weird.
it’s still a photoshoot but there’s that oddity to it. yes i’m doing my job and doing what i love but knowing the world has been in total disarray for the last few months just makes these shoots feel odd.
but, nonetheless they do give me a semblance of normalcy. a thing to do. a place i can go to when i need to escape the craziness of this covid-19 world.
i really can’t wait to be shooting more and more these next few months y’all. i got some cool projects to roll out and i’m beyond excited to show you guys.

first, shoutout to the state of illinois for deeming shoots safe now.
this was by far my happiest / most normal day of quarantine so far. it was such a joy to explore this incredible forest (that was like 5 minutes from my house??) and capture noah + em. two great peeps that i’ve gotten to know & hang with over the last year-ish.
they were fun, awkward at times which is totally okay, & they couldn’t stop laughing which i absolutely love.
this is shoot 1 of several more that i have planned !! can’t wait to share more stories with you guys.
