Some of you white progressives apparently don’t understand how the world works. I’ve been silent and avoided commenting on most things because, one, I don’t really care; two, we had a flood at one of the shops; and three, I’ve been enjoying my life while watching y’all fools still worry about my every move.

You don’t get to use my name in comments, talk s**t, and then act surprised when I pop up. Block me and move on with your lives. Y’all’s obsession with me isn’t normal. I feel like I should get a restraining order on some of you.

Go get a hobby, a job (we’re hiring), or maybe some medication and therapy. I’m just a small business owner and a private citizen now, and y’all are worried about the wrong person and the wrong things.

Let’s run the California liberal socialist against the homegrown hometown boy whose dad was a congressman! Sounds like a great idea. What could possibly go wrong?

Y’all keep acting shocked when Democrats lose in South Georgia while pushing candidates and messaging that don’t fit this district at all. This ain’t Berkeley, this ain’t Brooklyn, and this damn sure ain’t Twitter. (She didn't graduate.)

GA-01 is still a working-class, military, rural district. People here care about paying bills, keeping jobs at the port, supporting small businesses, and feeling like the person running actually understands South Georgia.

But sure, let’s hand Kingston the easiest campaign ads of his life and then wonder why Democrats keep losing races they should at least be competitive in. Brilliant strategy.

Please come out to meet and greet Joyce Griggs. Bring your family and friends. You will not be disappointed.

Let me make something very clear.

Since August of last year, my character has been attacked nonstop. Lies, smears, personal attacks, coordinated pile-ons, all aimed at destroying me politically and personally. I was the only openly gay candidate in this race and most of the same people clutching their pearls now never said a word while it was happening.

But the moment I started defending myself and responding back, suddenly I became “the problem.” Why? Because I’m a white male who refused to sit quietly while being attacked by Savannah political insiders and their social media circles.

I never cared that anyone was black. I never cared that anyone was a woman. I’ve supported women, worked alongside women, and fought for women my entire life. What I care about is hypocrisy and double standards.

Right now some of these same people are attacking Lieutenant Colonel Joyce Griggs and again, silence. No outrage. No think pieces. No calls for “unity.” Apparently attacks are perfectly acceptable depending on who the target is.

That’s the problem with the Savannah establishment and a certain crowd of white liberal activists. They weaponize identity when it benefits them, play victim when challenged, and expect everyone else to shut up and take it. It’s the exact same behavior they claim to hate from MAGA supporters defending Trump no matter what.

I’m no longer a candidate. I’m a private citizen, and I have every right to defend myself and speak my mind. If people want the responses to stop, maybe stop attacking me in the first place.

Because one thing about me, if you come at me, I’m not going to fold, apologize, or disappear. I will respond every single time.

Thank you so much for your vote and support. I was truly surprised and humbled by the number of votes I received. With so many candidates on the ballot, I know making a decision may not have been easy, and I sincerely appreciate your confidence in me.

Because of your support, I was honored to finish in 3rd place, which is very significant to me.

As we move into the runoff election, I have carefully considered the two remaining candidates. In the interest of fairness and respecting the voice of the voters, I have chosen to endorse the candidate who received the higher number of votes in the initial election.

I respectfully ask for your continued support for Joyce Griggs as she works to finish this race strong.

Thank you again for your encouragement, support, and participation in this election.

The numbers don’t lie.

Over 36,662 voters in this primary voted for moderate Democrats. Only 16,452 voted for the far-left progressive lane. I’ve said since day one, California values do not sell in South Georgia. Our communities want common sense, working-class leadership that understands our district, our families, and our way of life.

We cannot let the California candidates win this runoff.

That’s why I’m proudly joining and supporting Joyce Griggs. She has the experience, the community roots, and the broad coalition needed to win in November and actually represent ALL of Coastal Georgia.

To the 36,662 people who voted for me and the other moderate candidates: I’m asking you personally to come back out and vote in this runoff. Your vote matters now more than ever. We cannot sit this one out.

I’m also asking everyone who supported my campaign to support Joyce’s campaign immediately and donate NOW. Let’s unite, win this runoff, and keep this seat focused on the people of South Georgia, not outside activist politics.

Let’s finish this fight together.

Tonight, while we fell short of making the runoff, I leave this race incredibly proud of what we built together.

I want to thank every volunteer, donor, supporter, and voter who believed in this campaign. Together, we built a movement centered on working families, rural communities, economic growth, and bringing common sense back to Democratic politics in Georgia.

I still firmly believe we had the strongest overall message in this race. We talked about jobs, wages, housing affordability, healthcare, public safety, and protecting the industries and infrastructure that keep coastal Georgia working. We proved there is a coalition of Democrats, independents, and working-class voters hungry for candidates willing to fight for everyone.

But campaigns are also about relationships, community roots, and trust built over years of service. Joyce Griggs has spent years building those relationships throughout this district. Over the course of this campaign, I’ve gotten to know Joyce personally, and while we had our disagreements at times, I’ve grown to respect her deeply. If she’s made this many friends across the district, she’s clearly done something right.

So tonight, I am proud to endorse Joyce Griggs in the runoff election.

And let me be very clear about what’s at stake here: Democrats cannot afford to nominate a weak socialist candidate who cannot win a general election in GA-01. If we do, we hand Republicans an easy win in November before the race even starts. That doesn’t just hurt this district — it could hurt down-ballot Democrats, weaken our ability to hold Senator Jon Ossoff’s seat, and damage our chances of flipping the Governor’s Mansion.

We need candidates who can build broad coalitions and win real-world elections, not social media arguments.

Ignore the online noise, the gossip, and the old settled issues people try to recycle every election cycle. None of that helps working families struggling to pay bills, buy groceries, or keep a roof over their heads.

What matters now is winning.

Joyce Griggs can win this race, and I encourage everyone who supported me to unite behind her in this runoff and help send a Democrat to Congress who can compete and win in November.

This is not the end of my fight for this community. It’s simply another chapter.

Thank you all. Let’s go win this thing.
