It’s been a minute since I last posted—work has kept me super busy lately!
But I finally carved out some time for creativity and wanted to share a few new art pieces. I also have a cozy new at-home office where I get to display them!

The first photo features a credenza and lamp I built, along with some of my recent artwork. The second photo shows a kumiko lamp I made a few years back—and my office buddy, Max the cat. The rest of the photos highlight more of my art and a few other furniture pieces I’ve crafted over the years.

There’s nothing quite like being surrounded by your own creations—it brings a sense of inspiration and personality to the space.

Made some time today to work in my Lamp Studio, finished this cool Tiki Lamp with custom grass cloth shade and vintage palm tree finial. I still love Tiki.

Finally found some time this week to get back in my lamp studio. First time in about 6 months. Refurbished, rewired, and made custom 2 tier hand painted fiberglass and laced shades. They turned out very nice. Will be available for sale this weekend at Julesjunktiques at Picker Joes Antique Mall in Savannah.

Don’t be shocked when you walk past my lamp booth at Picker Joe’s and it has no lamps! I’m taking a temporary break in order to get a good inventory of lamps made. Have been too busy with my real job as a general contractor to work on lamps much the past couple of years, and Picker Joe’s asked if they could “borrow” my space temporarily in order to place a display of large art pottery pieces from our deceased friend’s estate, and I was happy to help.

The few remaining lamps are scattered throughout Jules’ Junktiques and the Coastal Exchange space at Picker Joe’s.

I did start 5 new lamps this weekend, so hopefully I’ll be able to at least finish those soon. Stay tuned!

Took a new handcrafted lamp to Picker Joe's today. This is my teak Brasilia lamp with butterfly base and custom laced shade. Been too busy to make lamps lately, so it felt good to finish this one.

Just finished this gorgeous MCM style Modeline 2.0 Teak Brasilia table lamp with custom made black and gold paper and lace shade and new this season: Butterfly base.Will be available for sale today in my lamp shop at Picker Joe’s Antique Mall in Savannah, GA!

Just finished making this walnut Jax Lantern with custom shade made from handmade paper. One of my favorites. $149

Had some extra time this weekend and made 4 new lamps and 4 custom shades. Still one of my favorite original designs. Jax Lantern with custom paper and laced shade.

Just brought in two of my new handcrafted Jax lanterns with custom made shades to my booth at Picker Joe's in Savannah. $149 each.

Some of the custom cabinetry and custom built-ins on a current project that have been keeping my shop and crew busy lately. We've remodeled the entire cottage including installing new flooring from old wood brought from out of state. And not only did it get a new front porch but I designed the pickets as well. In case you're wondering why there haven't been any new lamps and furniture coming out of WDesign Studio lately! Happy Thanksgiving!
