Another beautiful day on the project.

A bocce ball court in the middle of a ranch? Yep. Not just any bocce ball court, but one with concrete borders, shade trellises, high end professional court surface, and last but not least, an automatic pool cover to keep debris off of it.

Latest project fully underway. 20 acres and it’s wall to wall trucks, equipment, and people. Filling in a 2 acre pond, removing a horrible privacy wall, ripping out hardscapes, prepping for new accessory structures, a whole city’s worth of new utility install, and a site with a great view. We love days like this!

Have you wondered why you don’t see many lightning bugs anymore? Every time your landscape is sprayed with insecticides, it has an adverse affect on all wildlife. No bugs to eat, birds won’t survive. And on up the food chain it goes. Bugs also control plants and keep them in check. Want a healthy ecosystem (and lightning bugs) in your back yard? Stop spraying it with insecticides!

This is probably the dominant problem with most landscapes. Doesn’t matter if it’s a tree or shrub, find that root flare and stop the mulch volcanoes!

Mulch is an important part of the landscape, but things can go wrong very quickly when it is too close to the living plant and piled up year after year. Spread mulch out, not up. Photo courtesy of Bracy's Nursery

Times are changing along with what people are looking for in their landscape. Please tell us what you would love to add to your landscape in the next couple of years? How about a pool, outdoor kitchen, water feature, patio, playground, shade trees, privacy screen, or gazebo. Or maybe it’s something completely different. Please share!
