13 months.

Thirteen months of waiting. Thirteen months of watching other dogs go home while Max stays behind, and it is beyond his turn to have a happy ending.

Yesterday, Max got to go on an outing with us, and he absolutely loved it. He handled the adventure beautifully, enjoyed being out and about, and reminded us once again just how special he is.

Miss Juniper has found her forever family! 💛

After being one of our longest-stay pups, Juniper officially headed home a few days ago, and we could not be happier for this sweet girl. She’s going to be living the GOOD life with her new family and human siblings, and she’ll even get to accompany her mom to her new job! 🥹

And we have to give the BIGGEST shoutout to Juniper’s incredible foster mom, who opened her home and heart to Juniper for the entire four months she was in rescue.

Fostering isn’t always easy, especially when it means loving and caring for a dog for months while waiting for the right family to come along as they go through different developmental phases, especially that teenage phase. Without amazing, dedicated fosters like you, we simply could not do what we do. ❤️

Thank you for giving Juniper a safe place to land, for loving her like your own, and for helping her get to this very moment.

She's Cherry 🍒

Meet Cherry, a 3-month-old purebred Rottweiler puppy with a sweet personality, a curious mind, and all the potential in the world. She came to us as an owner surrender when her previous home couldn't keep up with her energy b

We're excited to share that Cherry is currently on a foster to adopt with our good friends at Ruff Pup Dog Training. If she becomes available, we'll be going down our waitlist for rottie puppies.

We couldn't be happier for this little girl and can't wait to watch her grow into an incredible companion.

We're going to be blunt, because frankly, we're exhausted.

Our policy: We do not adopt female dogs into homes with resident female dogs, and we do not adopt male dogs into homes with resident male dogs. Are there exceptions (very few), yes, but they're outliers.

Why? Because same-sex aggression is a real risk, especially in working breeds.

While not every same-sex pairing will have issues, enough do that we are not willing to gamble with our dogs' futures, your current pups safety, and your family's safety.

We're not interested in a "let's wait and see if they decide to rip into each other in a year" approach.

Our dogs deserve better than being placed in situations where the risk is already known, documented, and observable.

We don't owe anyone an adoption. We owe our dogs our best judgment, there are hundreds of rescues to adopt from who don't care.

We do.

12 weeks. 84 days. That's far too long for an 8 month old puppy to be waiting for a family.

Juniper has absolutely blossomed in her foster home, and now she's more than ready to find the people she can call her own.

💕 She loves other dogs and would thrive with a furry companion.

🐾 She's doing great with both crate training and potty training for her age.
🐱 She's cat-friendly.
💗 She's a little shy at first, but she warms up quickly and becomes such a sweet, loving girl.
👧 She does well with respectful kids.

If your message is urgent, please send us a second text or give us a call. It's often much quicker for us to answer a call than to sit down and type long replies between caring for the dogs.

⚡ We’re breaking records this July… but not the kind we hope for.

This month we’ve seen:
📉 Record low donations: $65
📉 Record low adoptions: 2

We get it. July is busy. Families are traveling, vacations are happening, and everyone is juggling their own lives. We just want to be transparent about where we’re at.

Right now, we’re feeling the weight a little more than usual.

We currently have:
🐾 5 adult dogs in our program
🐾 3 teenage puppies
🐾 3 infant puppies

And our care list keeps growing:
🍖 5 bags of dog food needed total (2 specialty diets & 3 regular bags of Kirkland food)
✂️ 1 spay and 1 neuter we've had to push back
💉 Multiple vaccines, Microchips, and Deworming
🏡 Boarding stays & Professional evaluations
💵 Foster home reimbursements
🐕‍🦺Leashes, and cleaning supplies

We always want money to be the least of our concerns because the dogs are what matter most. But the reality is, rescue takes a village.
