Grand Reopening of Santo Nombre Cemetery

We are blessed to announce the Grand Reopening of Santo Nombre Cemetery after the completion of our expansion and land renovations. With this new chapter, we are now open for plot reservations and burial planning, providing families with a sacred place to honor their loved ones in the light of our faith and the promise of eternal life.

Join us for this special ribbon cutting as we bless and dedicate the expanded grounds, entrusting them to the care of Our Lord.

We are blessed and proud to announce the official opening of Sections B & E at our cemetery. These newly opened sections provide additional space for families seeking a peaceful and sacred place for their loved ones to rest.

We’re so grateful for the volunteers that dedicated their time to beautifying our cemetery this past Saturday. Thanks to their hard work cleaning and filling in dirt, the grounds are looking more cared for and respectful to those who rest here.

Dear Families and Friends,
We have been notified of some plots at Santo Nombre were sunken in by the recent flooding (see image below). We know how painful it is to see your loved ones' resting places affected. Please know you are in our thoughts and prayers.

We kindly ask families to wait until the ground dries before beginning any restoration work. We are grateful to a partner from our Cemetery Expansion Project for donating 2 truckloads of dirt
to help restore sunken graves while supply lasts. The first delivery is expected this week at the cemetery entrance.

Please use caution when visiting and take measures against mosquitoes due to standing water.

We’ve also been offered equipment support to help distribute the dirt when the time comes—this generosity is truly appreciated.

Next Steps:
• We will provide updates once the area is ready.
• Families will be invited to begin restoration with available support.
• Volunteer coordination will begin when conditions improve.

These photos were taken yesterday at 3 PM. While much of the cemetery has dried, there is still some standing water near the plots closest to the fence on the west side.

We also want to share that Santo Nombre Cemetery has begun a project to fill dirt on the south side and expand plot availability in that area. As the ground continues to dry over the next two weeks, we hope to make steady progress.Monetary donations are greatly appreciated to help cover the cost of this important project. Thank you for your support as we continue to serve our beloved Santa Rosa community.

Estas fotos fueron tomadas ayer a las 3 PM. Aunque gran parte del cementerio ya se ha secado, todavía hay algo de agua estancada cerca de las tumbas más próximas a la cerca.

También queremos compartir que el Cementerio Santo Nombre ha iniciado un proyecto para rellenar tierra en el lado sur y expandir la disponibilidad de lotes en esa área. A medida que el suelo continúe secándose en las próximas dos semanas, esperamos avanzar con el trabajo.

🌿 Community Help Needed! 🌿
Hey everyone! We are reaching out because our cemetery is in need of some urgent assistance. Over time, the ground has become uneven and it desperately needs leveling to ensure the new area we are trying to open is a safe and respectful space for everyone who visits his or her loved ones.
Unfortunately, the cost of leveling is extremely high, and the cemetery does not have the funds for it. But, together, we can make a difference! 💪💙
If anyone has extra dirt/soil or knows where we might be able to get some dirt donated to us, or source some at a reduced cost, we would greatly appreciate your help. Whether it is a truckload or just a small amount, every bit counts!
