"Little" Yarn Shop Around! Cast Away Yarn Shop specializes in natural fiber yarns in a variety of price ranges.
We are located in a 4000+ sq foot brick warehouse in the heart of Historic Railroad Square in downtown Santa Rosa, CA. We also sell felting supplies and The Weaving School which is situated inside our shop sells weaving supplies.

WoolDreamers Mota is a very special yarn. The mill has been run by the same family for over 100 years! The founder, Ramon (a third generation family member) started working at the mill when he was just 14, gaining an intimate knowledge of the local wool and textile traditions. When the proliferation of synthetic fibers began to threaten the heritage of Spanish wool, he started this yarn company to save it! Their mission is to support local sheep farmers, preserve Spanish sheep breeds, and reestablish wool as the incredible, valuable, magical fiber it is.
As a knitter, I can tell you that Mota is a wonderful yarn to work with! Toothy and springy, it has a marvelous loft that floats against the skin and is soft enough to wear. The rustic feel gives it excellent shape memory and prevents it from pilling easily. It is of course very warm! And comes in many beautiful colors.
