Messaggio dei Presidenti:
In May and June, we celebrate mothers and fathers. All our mammas and nonnas and papas and nonnos are very special to us, and because of their courage and sacrifices, we are all here today. The best way to honor them is to keep their stories and the culture they loved alive. For our members who are Italian
lovers but not by birth, we cherish your participation in everything Italian. Members, this is our third month in office and we are excited and honored to be guiding this organization, connecting you with each other and your heritage, and preserving Italian culture. In order to move forward with vibrancy, passion and meaning, we need you to be a part of the foundation with us. Your participation as volunteers, your input and ideas, and your
financial support help us to keep the doors open at our NBICF on Brookwood Avenue, fund our Italian scholarships, and offer cultural events. We look forward to seeing and greeting you at our upcoming activities and we invite you to share your ideas and comments. You may email us at [email protected] or leave a message at 707-591-9696. Thank you all for your support.

Love your Italian roots? Join NBICF today!
Yesterday, Sunday, more than seventy readers of Under the Light of the Italian Moon and lovers of Italy came together on zoom for Italian Roots, Untold Stories. We had a conversation from Italy with author Jennifer Anton, and afterward NBICF members shared our own family stories. We were all inspired to keep digging and documenting our information to share with future generations. If you love your Italian roots and want to share your stories and get inspired to write your story (doesn't have to be a book!), join our organization. We are here to preserve and promote the Italian heritage.

Took a jaunt with my granddaughter the other week to Sebastopol to visit North Bay Italian Cultural Foundation business partner Whippersnapperskid. We donated some stuff and then shopped for some goodies. What an incredible kids thrift store! Pristine and stylish clothes, toys, accessories and baby gear. Treat your kid!

Stories of our Nonnas. On Sunday, May 24th we will be tuning in to a zoom conversation with Jennifer Anton, author of Light Under the Italian Moon. It's a live conversation from Italy: Italian Roots, Untold Stories -- an afternoon centered around family history, untold stories, resilience, memory, and the journey behind the book.
After the zoom conversation, participants will share their own nonna stories and discuss how we can best document family history.
There's still time to join the conversation:
