Some recent projects: In Napa we installed some classic retractable double screens on several French doors on this beautiful property. And in Sacramento we installed a single retractable screen on this interesting large opening that used to be a doorway but now serves as a large window.

Here is a comparison of two screening solutions we have for double (French) doors, for both in-swing and out-swing doors. On the left, is a single screen that can be used on an opening up to 6-foot across, manually retracts and stops wherever you want. On the right, is the traditional double screen that meets in the middle, automatically retracts, and can screen an opening over 6-foot across. Wanted to give some a closer look at how the Genius smoothglide double door screen fits into the jamb of most doorways…it really is seamless.

Here are a few example of single door retractable screens installed on front and side doors (normal height and extra tall doors) of recently completed projects.

This example of a Genius Smoothglide French door screen gives a clear black and white contrast with the door frame, which makes very clear how little space our retractable screens take up in the door jamb, and blends nicely into the natural reccess of the opening.

Another interior mounted retractable screen install on these French doors. It really opens up the dining room to the backyard. I’m sure this family will get a lot of use out of the screen this Summer.
