"Sunrise On Old Route 66" Seams like a fitting photo for today! The birth of a new day shedding it's light on the old girl.
This is an original 1926 alignment near Carlinville, Illinois on Illinois 4. It pays to take this old 66 alignment. The vintage sections have 90 degree angles in them and you're riding on the old portland cement, with it's seams every few yards. The towns seem to be stuck in the early to mid 20th century. Passing though this bread basket of Illinois the fields remind you of a simpler time.
