We are still talking about the amazing dinner we got to be a part of last week. Thanks to for hosting and allowing me to share the story of our wines in such a special setting. ✨

The food was paired with the wines perfectly thanks to the amazing work of . If you haven’t had the chance to taste his beautiful food, run, don’t walk. 🍷

Elinor’s White Blend and Margaret’s Albariño accompanied the first two dishes - Beautifully fresh Hamachi Crudo and Seared Day Boat scallops with crispy pancetta.

Then came the Pinot course. Dayle’s Sonoma Coast and Joan’s Tanuda Ridge paired perfectly with Crispy duck confit with butternut squash gnocchi. The Dayle’s with the duck was my pairing of the night.

The Petit Verdot, a PV Wine Club darling, shone when paired alongside the filet mignon, potato pave and risotto stuffed morel mushroom. I could have eaten a plate of the mushrooms themselves - a bite I will never forget.

Finally, we wrapped the dinner with a perfect lemon olive cake with blueberry compote - Gloria’s Gap’s View Pinot closed the show with this dish.

Today Oxley took a break from his duties in the tasting room to celebrate his 5th birthday! 🎂❤️🎉

It was a perfect day, filled with many of his favorite things (including his Nani aka my mom 🤭). We lunched at Nick’s Cove where the chef prepared him his very own burger 🍔. We explored the low tides at Dillon beach 🌊🦀 - honestly the highlight of his day. And we wrapped up the day with cheese tasting at Marin French Cheese Company 🧀 - everyone knows Oxley can’t resist a stinky cheese.

We made dog and people friends along the way and our hearts couldn’t be any fuller. Love you Oxley, so glad it was a magical day. ❤️❤️❤️

Well it was a bit of a nail biter finish to the end of harvest for us, but we got our Petit Verdot in before the rain started. Phew!

We will now get her tucked in to tank and wrap up this vintage with a bang. 🍾
