Unfortunately I have come across more than I care to mention previously installed SHARKBITE fittings that the client claims they actually paid a "Plumbing contractor" to preform work and they used these type of fittings. NEVER allow a "plumber" to install SHARKBITE fittings. They are a TEMPORARY repair only. They should never be used for a permanent repair.
