Earlier this year we added the Mitutoyo Quick Vision Active 404 to our inspection lineup. It’s a CNC vision measurement system that lets us quickly and accurately verify parts without ever touching them — perfect for small, delicate, or complex features.

This upgrade has really tightened up our process for prototype and production checks, giving us consistent, repeatable results with ease. Another solid step forward in keeping our parts on-spec and our customers confident in what leaves our shop.

Fresh off the new machine!

The past few month have been busy…. We are all in on the 5 axis machines. This is our new Mazak Variaxis j500/5x and it is sweet!

It takes a village!

We made the last part on our Akira sieki mill yesterday. Time to finish tearing it down to make room for something new.
Richard and David (R&D) bought this new in 2001, it was our first true 3 axis mill. It has held up well the last 21 years and still has life left in it for its new owner to make parts, but for us it’s time for something new.
