What a great day in Fresno! 🙌

Ghilotti Construction was proud to attend the 5th Annual Caltrans DBE-SB Summit at the Fresno Convention Center, and it did not disappoint. Our very own Monique Quam and Annette Conley had the pleasure of connecting with so many talented small businesses, Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs), and Disabled Veteran Business Enterprises (DVBEs) from across the region — exactly the kind of conversations we came for.

Events like this remind us why investing in partnerships matters. The public works sector is built on collaboration, and we left Fresno energized by the incredible firms and individuals we had the chance to meet.

The Associated Schools of Construction (ASC) is the professional association dedicated to advancing construction education. Through the sharing of ideas and knowledge, ASC inspires and promotes excellence in curricula, teaching, research, and service.

This year, Ghilotti Construction Company was a proud All-American Sponsor of the Sonoma County Honor Field at Wing & Barrel Ranch — a moving tribute featuring hundreds of American flags flown in honor of those who have served and sacrificed for our nation.

Ghilotti Construction completed the Auburn Blvd at Arcade Creek Bridge Replacement Project for the City of Sacramento, in only three months.

The project scope included full bridge demolition and new construction from the ground up, featuring CIDH piles, two abutments, precast concrete girders, storm drain improvements, curb and gutter, and sidewalk replacement. Our team also coordinated the installation of a PG&E gas line casing under the bridge, a water line along the bridge, and a creek diversion. To ensure public safety during construction, we built a temporary pedestrian bridge for continued access.

Additional improvements included the installation of street lighting, temporary traffic signals, barriers, and guardrails—all completed within the same tight timeframe.

This project required exceptional coordination among multiple crews, subcontractors, and utility providers, often working simultaneously in small areas under demanding schedules. Thanks to careful planning and outstanding teamwork—including a successful weekend closure to complete paving—the project was delivered smoothly and on schedule.

We thank our crews, subcontractors, and partners for their hard work and dedication in delivering another successful project for the community.

In honor of Women in Construction Month, Ghilotti Construction Company proudly hosted our Women in Construction Field Day at GCC headquarters on Friday, March 14th, 2025. This event was a fantastic opportunity to recognize and celebrate the incredible women who are part of our team while reinforcing the importance of safety, skill-building, and hands-on learning in our industry.

Participants engaged in seven interactive stations designed to educate and empower employees with hands-on experience, covering equipment operation, vac trucks, traffic control, structures, worksite simulations, and more. These activities not only showcased the complexity of our work but also reinforced the critical role safety plays in everything we do.

At GCC, we are proud of the talented women who contribute to our success every day. Their dedication, expertise, and leadership are an essential part of our team, and events like these highlight the value they bring to the construction industry.

Thank you to everyone who participated, helped organize, and supported this incredible event! Let’s continue to uplift, support, and inspire more women to build the future with us.
