I’ve been playing with rainbow yarn! Cowl hood 1.0, 2.0, and 3.0, and the matching mitts! All of this was made up in the last 10 days!

Kearney Renaissance faire was so much fun! The lass and all her booth workers made it home safe and sound with a much lighter load than when they set out for faire—thank you to everyone we met and all the old friends we caught up with! Well met my faire family and I will see you at the next one!

The crafty Irish lass has completed a gorgeous piece! A cloak in burgundy cotton velvet lined in creamy silk taffeta and trimmed in gold braid! Done in the latest 1540’s French style of a chamarre worn by none other than king Frances I of France himself! Don’t be left out of the latest French fashions, see this piece for yourself at the Kearney Renaissance faire November 12-13!

Get your garb ready! The Crafty Irish Lass will be setting out her wares at the Folsom Renaissance Faire on September 24th and 25th! Get your tams your snoods, or maybe an octopus friend to hide in your pocket! Come see madam Mim the 8 foot long purple dragon! Can’t wait to see you there!

The Lass has been trying her hand at something new: medieval style hairpins! These are made from hand hammered solid brass and each one is 4” long. These will hold hair all day in an updo, even if your hair is thick, curly, and past your waist! Coming soon to a ren faire near you!

As of yesterday the encroaching fire, poor air quality, and need to keep narrow roads free of out of town traffic to allow free access to evacuees has postponed the midsummer fairytale Celtic renaissance faire. A difficult but not unexpected decision, I applaud Kingdom of Harron and Brian himself for quick thinking and finding a reschedule date in October as well as keeping everyone safe. Sorry we had to cancel this weekend, see everyone at the next one!
