In my defense, I worked today, and did all my domestic chores first 😇
BUT, the obsession is real.

New feather earrings for the babes who aren't afraid to stand out

It's tough to admit , but even twenty years into a business I can make a poor decision. This weekend, I most certainly did not set myself up for success.
Always pause and think before you hit that apply button. Here's what I did wrong

• I applied to a 3 day show that was rumored to be great but didn't notice it was a month earlier in the season.
( Christmas theme in early October you say? 🤦‍♀️ ) I signed up for 2 days with a different venue/event sandwiched in between.

• I signed up for a Friday, which is typically slower and brings in an older crowd, who is not typically my shopping demographic.

• Got too trigger happy on applying without thinking about the fee vs selling hours & day of the week. It was overpriced.

• Made assumptions on how the layout would be based off past events and knew upon arrival that I was in no man's land.

After checking in with fellow vendors on saturday to see how the day went, I did not go back on Sunday and instead reached out for a space at one if my favorite local farmers markets. That means I paid for a booth space twice on sunday, but ultimately didn't lose money.
It was not an easy weekend like I thought I would have but as long as I'm learning, I is what it is.
Thankful for my good Saturday sandwiched in there because gas is almost $7 a gallon here in Cali.

I also want to say that i've done this enough to know when I feel these feelings that it's from past experiences. I didn't run to the coordinator to complain. I sat with it and hoped that the energy would shift, it did not.
