Oregon quarterback Dante Moore left the field on a stretcher and was transported to the hospital in an ambulance after sustaining an apparent head injury during the second quarter against USC.

While sliding at the end of an 11-yard run, Moore took a violent, late hit to the head from USC linebacker Desman Stephens II, which caused his body to go limp and twitch on the turf.

The incident sparked a near-melee on the field, resulting in Stephens being ejected for targeting and personal fouls being assessed to both teams.

Medical staff placed Moore in a neck brace and on a backboard. On a positive note, reports from the NBC broadcast and reporters on-site confirmed that Moore was moving his arms, fingers, and feet as he was carted off the field.
