In Government class, students took on the challenge of balancing the federal budget by examining six federal departments during the Lyndon B. Johnson era 🇺🇸

After evaluating priorities and spending decisions, students worked collaboratively to create and propose their budgets in writing, gaining hands-on experience in policy, economics, and the difficult decisions involved in government leadership.

Financial coach Julie Henson joined our students for an engaging conversation about one of life’s most important real-world skills: financial literacy 💰

Students from 7th through 12th grade learned about credit, what a credit score is, how to build strong credit, how to use it responsibly, and the real-life impacts of having a low credit score. We loved seeing students ask thoughtful questions and actively engage in conversations about preparing for their financial future.

Experiences like these are just one way we help students build confidence and real-world readiness for life beyond high school.

Even on the very last few days of school, three of our Pre-Calculus students were still pushing through, staying focused, and finishing strong 📚💪

While each student work on math problems with their own methods, they are locked in!

We are so proud of the hard work, perseverance, and dedication our students continue to show all the way through the finish line. Ending the year with determination and grit! ✨

As we reflect back on Teacher Appreciation Week earlier this month, we want to take a moment to say thank you to the incredible educators who make such a meaningful impact on our students every day 🍎💙

We are so grateful for the care, passion, and dedication our teachers bring to the classroom and school community.

Yearbook students explored yellow journalism, sensationalism in the media, and tabloid news by diving into stories from the Weekly World News. Their assignment was to report on one of the outrageous headlines and share what they learned about these… less-than-truthful stories 😄 Students did a fantastic job presenting and analyzing how media can influence public perception.

US History students experienced the frustrations and unpredictability of the Vietnam War through an interactive tug-of-war simulation with constantly changing rules. Across five rounds, students were assigned different role cards, including being told not to pull, pull in the wrong direction, or being “drafted” to participate against their will, helping bring historical challenges and perspectives to life through hands-on learning.

One group managed to find Bigfoot, while the other… got stuck with no way out! 😄
These moments of connection are an important part of building a strong, supportive team, because when staff feel connected and supported, it translates directly into a positive, engaging environment for students. Happy teachers and staff help create happy, supported students.

Middle schoolers put their engineering skills to the test by building a bridge using only wood, no tools or fasteners allowed! Inspired by Leonardo da Vinci and other Renaissance artists. The final structure was so strong, Mr. Krukar was able to walk across it!
