Just another late-diagnosed gal with AuDHD, trying to make sense of an allistic world

Oh, and I *completely forgot* I wanted to go do lap swimming at 7. I’d been looking forward to getting in the water, letting my spine decompress, and getting some movement in. It’s so strange how my brain won’t even remember to do enjoyable things these days.

There are people out there who will chalk this up to “you’re just having a lazy day”, but they don’t understand that these are not just things I know I need to do—I also *want* to do them. The lack of dopamine and the different ways an ADHD brain produces and processes it is the biggest chemical contributor to the symptoms we feel.
