Food For Thought provides healthy groceries, nutrition services, and prepared meals to thousands of our neighbors living with serious medical conditions right here in Sonoma County.

We are so honored to be featured in the Q2 2026 issue of Craft to Crumb magazine! The feature, called The Intern Investment, explores what it takes for retail bakeries to build meaningful internship programs, and we are quoted alongside Bennison's Bakery and Zingerman's Bakehouse, which is a real moment for this small Santa Rosa bakery.

For Tracy and the team, internships have always been about more than extra hands during busy seasons. They are about using the business to make a difference and create real opportunities for the next generation of bakers. Building the structure to do that well has actually made us better managers and better communicators, and it has deepened our connection to this community we love so much.

Our butter comes from Straus Family Creamery in Petaluma, one of the first certified organic dairies in the country. Our flour comes from Central Milling, also in Petaluma, supplying some of the best bakeries in California.

We use real citrus zest, real vanilla, and real everything. No shortcuts.

We believe great cookies start with great ingredients. And when those ingredients come from right down the road? That’s something worth celebrating.
