We are so proud of our young leaders! 4 students joined Mrs. Craig at SCOE to help analyze our school's Youth Truth Data and help create a plan to make our school better. Student leaders have been identified to serve on our Student Council and we recognized many Students of the Month for demonstrating the character trait Respect. Student voice matters!

Bellevue parents are teaching our students Flokorico dance! This has been a dream of mine and is incredbily special to me and our Bellevue community. Please join us next Monday, Sept 15, from 4:00-5:30pm to kick off Hispanic Heritage month by playing loteria, eating tamales, and watching our littles perform after just 5 days of lessons! We are hoping this special dance class continues!

Read all about it! Bellevue has 'literacy avengers'! Front page news today in the Press Democrat. Our own second grade teacher, Amber MacLean, spoke at the county Literacy Summit to help build urgency and awareness around the need to address student literacy rates. She, and many others, have experienced much success this year with a new approach to teaching reading. It's a community effort! We need everyone to support literacy and make a difference for our community.
