The CCLA Foundation is a serving-oriented community offering enrichment to their students. This year, the Foundation has agreed to a budget of $20,000.
Our goals are to enrich the education of our students and to best support our amazing teachers. The Cesar Chavez Language Academy Foundation is a registered non-profit that serves a similar purpose as most Parent-Teacher Associations (PTA) and Parent-Teacher Organizations (PTO). As a non-profit organization, the Foundation can also function at a larger scale. Our Foundation consists of elected parents and staff that meet 1-hour each month to help create events, fundraise and primarily focus on three areas: classroom support, extracurricular activities and student enrichment. Each year, our Foundation Board votes on a budget and determines where the allocation of funds will best support our school. . Though lower than before, our budgets are dependent on the fund raised during the previous year, so we are always budgeting with money we have on hand. We will re-evaluate our budget in January if we return to school. The CCLA Foundation is committed to supporting our students and teachers through distance learning with an allotted $315 to help with classroom enrichment. We encourage our entire community to partner with us to support CCLA. FOUNDATION ACCOMPLISHMENTS 2019-2020:
Organized a school beautification event that included painting and landscaping
Organized Superhero Zumbathon, our second biggest fundraiser
Remodeled the teachers lounge, shared by both CCLA and LCMS staff
Organized four Taco Tuesday and Bingo family nights
Allocated teacher funds for classroom enrichment
Supported after school clubs with purchases of baking and art supplies
Supported the basketball team through purchase of jerseys, referees, and payment of coach
Supported the Ballet Folklorico club through payment of teachers
Paid for school assemblies, including the Hip Hop, Peter Pan, Lion Witch & the Wardrobe, and three Lawrence Hall of Science assemblies
Provided funding for the Dia de los Mu***os altar and Winter Posada
Provided CCLA and LCMS teachers and staff with an appreciation lunch

Our 6th-grade students are working hard to raise $20,000 to fund their upcoming Spring Outdoor Education trip!
Outdoor Ed gives students unforgettable, hands-on learning experiences in nature—teaching real-world science, building lifelong teamwork skills, and encouraging personal growth. Every dollar raised brings them one step closer to camp!

Bring the whole family for a night packed with delicious pozole, fun games, and great music. We’ll be serving up plates of homemade pozole for dinner for only $10 a plate! 🥣

This incredible team of 12 dedicated women volunteers year-round to make our school events possible. Thanks to the amazing support of our entire school community, we raise thousands of dollars each year to support our teachers, staff, and students.
They say it takes a village, and we certainly can’t do this alone!

The CCLA Foundation would like to thank everyone who made our spring festival a fun and exciting day for the students, faculty and families.

CCLA Drumline, CCLA Mariachi, Danza Xantotl, Tapia's Taekwondo, Double Punches Boxing Club, CCLA Baile Sociales for the dance lesson, and Banda la Congora!
Thank you to Level Up Games & Entertainment for bringing their game trailer for the first time, the kids absolutely loved it!
Thank you to our CCLA parebt Ceni with Ceni's Creations for donating her time to brighten the stage with a balloon Decor.
The longest line was for Keyyo Face Painting, their first time at our campus too so thank you!
The crowd was feed thanks to Kona Ice of Central Santa Rosa, Patty’s Mexican Food, and The Crazy Burger Co.
Thank you to the organizations that tabled: City of Santa Rosa, California, Aliados Health, Wow Smiles, and Stony Point Dental PC; who also provided a generous donation for the students!
6th graders hosted a pie in the face fundraiser for their camp and also sold snacks. Thank you to those who helped them raise funds!
Thank you to Astro Jump for providing the carnival games.
Thank you to TIE Pilot and Darth Vader for making an appearance for the first time for our students, they were definitely surprised!
Lastly, thank you to Lola's Event Rentals for the last minute help to give our guests shade. We underestimated the power of the sun that day, but with one phone call we were able to get a tent up in no time!r
