A few months after arriving to United States, I started experiencing gut issues — indigestion, severe bloating, acid reflux, brain fog, and the list goes on. Things kept getting worse.
One day passed, then another. A week. A few months. A year. Nothing was improving, yet I kept searching for answers.
One of the solutions was hidden in food.
So I started to cook, bake, and ferment — preparing food that matched my standards. Slowly, things began to improve.
My baked goods are one of the results of this healing journey, which is quite ironic, as baked goods are often considered “unhealthy.”
I believe that pleasure is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle, and that the dose makes the poison. Personally, I am not a heavy carb eater, but one thing I have always enjoyed is a warm toasted slice of bread with creamy, salty butter in the morning with a cup of coffee — or, on certain Sundays, a croissant or a pastry.
Unfortunately — or perhaps fortunately — I couldn’t find anything I trusted or felt satisfied with.
So here I am, sharing bites of delicious peace of mind for those seeking wholesome pleasures they can trust.
