Mitered edges are cut to a 45-degree angle and glued together, and in order to ensure stability, stone surfaces must be thicker than normal, about 2-2.5 inches. This edge profile complements both traditional and modern styles. Almost any countertop material can have a mitered edge. A lot of labor is put in which cost of a mitered edge is usually an upcharge of $15–$50 per linear foot.
