South Walton Seahawk Sound

The South Walton High School Concert Band received Straight Superior Ratings from all four judges this past Friday at Concert MPA! Congratulations to these students who works so hard to put on one of our most difficult concert MPA performances yet!

We also want to celebrate as hopefully our last year of being just one concert band! Thanks to the hard work of all of our students, we should be splitting next year into TWO concert bands!!! Be on the lookout for our spring concert dates this May!

Happy National Marching Band Day, always celebrated on March 4th! (Say it out loud haha!) To celebrate, here's some of our whole group band shots from our 5 years as the Seahawk Sound! Another Seahawk Sound memory drop: the 2025 Grand Boulevard Christmas Parade! Our first stop is always to fuel up! Mr. Mitchell even got to see the big man himself!

The Seahawk Sound looks forward to being a part of our community like our community is a part of us! Choose to do band at SWHS!

Santa made his Grand arrival on Parade Night! Ushered on to the Boulevard by the talented SWHS Marching Band and made his way to Grand Park, where children of all ages shared their Christmas wish list with the Jolly guy! Thank you to all who joined Grand Boulevard in celebrating the kick off to the Holiday Season! See you on the BLVD! #grandblvd

Tuesday Night (10/28), the Seahawk Sound presents our second "Not So Spooky Concert!" The concert band and the jazz band will put on a concert with spooky themes! Wednesday (10/29), we will perform it for some of our SOWAL 5th graders and the ECMS band with the addition of the whole marching band! (Not a public performance.) We hope to see you in the auditorium Tuesday night!

Our band students have done an incredible job growing our band each year. Since 2021, we have more than doubled in size and are increasing by about 30 members next year! Folks, we are in desperate need of some additional instruments next year!

This October, we will be asking you, our community, to help us with that! Simple Raise is a safe, online fundraiser where you can donate directly to our program! By following the link in our Bio, you can donate towards our goal of $30,000. At checkout, you can also name a student to give them a portion of your donation towards their band fees for the year.
