The 2025 Atlantic hurricane season is almost here! Are YOU ready?
Living in Florida means we know hurricanes can form fast and hit hard. During this Hurricane Preparedness Week, take time to prepare your home, your family, and your community.

- Know Your Zone: Find out if you’re in an evacuation zone and where you’ll go.

- Build a Kit: Include non perishable food, water, medication, batteries, and important documents.

- Make a Plan: Communication is key. Make sure everyone in your household knows what to do.

- Stay Informed: Follow trusted local alerts and weather updates.

Preparedness saves lives—and it starts with YOU. Be sure to tag a neighbor and make sure they’re ready, too!

Today is National Animal Disaster Preparedness Day!

When disaster strikes, our pets and animals depend on us more than ever. Whether it’s a hurricane, wildfire, flood, or any emergency, having a plan in place for your animals can save lives.

Here’s how you can be ready:
• Include pets in your emergency plan. Know where you’ll go and how you’ll get there.
• Build a pet emergency kit with food, water, medications, ID tags, leash, carrier, and comfort items.
• Keep vaccination records and microchip info up to date in case you’re separated. Take photos of the documents on your phone.
• Know your local shelter options. Not all shelters accept pets, so plan ahead!

Your pets are family. Make sure they’re protected too.

Let’s take a moment today to prepare, not panic, because planning ahead makes all the difference.
