We build strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter. Through shelter, we empower.

People in our community partner with Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, Florida to build or improve a place they can call home. Habitat homeowners help build their own homes alongside volunteers and pay an affordable mortgage. With our help, they achieve the strength, stability, and independence they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.

πŸ‘πŸ’™ Happy Father's Day from Habitat for Humanity of Walton County! πŸ’™πŸ‘

Today, we celebrate the fathers, grandfathers, stepfathers, mentors, and father figures who help build strong families and stronger communities.

A father’s love, guidance, and support create the foundation for a brighter future. Whether it's teaching life lessons, lending a helping hand, or providing a safe and stable home, fathers play an important role in helping families thrive.

At Habitat Walton, we see every day how the strength of a family begins at home. We are grateful for all the dads who work tirelessly to create opportunities, memories, and lasting legacies for the people they love.

From our Habitat family to yours, we wish you a day filled with love, appreciation, and time spent with those who matter most. πŸ’™ Happy Father's Day!

At Habitat for Humanity of Walton County, we envision a world where everyone has a decent place to live. More than that, we believe in one shared humanity and the power of community to bring people together. 🫢

On Juneteenth, we join in recognizing a day of reflection, progress, and freedom. In observance of this federal holiday, our office will be closed on Friday.

We don’t just dream about stronger communities, we work toward them every day through partnership, service, and building safe, affordable housing for local families. Together, we are helping build a stronger Walton County, one home at a time. πŸ’™πŸ

🏑 National Homeownership Month: Celebrating the Power of Home

This National Homeownership Month, we're honored to share the story of Habitat Walton homeowner 70 Dyani Spence, whose dream of homeownership has become a reality for her and her children. ✨

"First off I'll start by saying me and my kids finally have our own home and it's almost like a dream but it's not. It's actually our reality and I'm able to provide for my kids the home they deserve to grow up in. I'm grateful for my job that allows me to pay the mortgage and thankful to Habitat for Humanity for picking us to have this life-changing blessing of a home.

This is something I cannot take for granted ever. I could literally kiss the walls and floors as crazy as it seems. This is what it feels like to have such a responsibility and a blessing all wrapped up in one. I cannot thank y'all enough and of course thank Jesus for loving us this much! I know I'm long from perfect, but this is proof that Jesus loves me and He never wants me to give up."

Dyani's journey reminds us that it's never too late for dreams to come true. A safe, stable, and affordable home provides more than shelter it creates a foundation for hope, security, and opportunity for generations.

We are deeply grateful to our incredible sponsors, donors, and volunteers who make stories like Dyani's possible. Your support helps families build strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. 🫢

Interested in helping create more life-changing stories like this? We'd love to have you join us! To get involved, please email [email protected].

πŸ’™ Happy National Homeownership Month!

⚾ Congratulations, Coleman Borthwick! ⚾

Habitat for Humanity of Walton County would like to congratulate South Walton High School Senior Coleman Borthwick on an incredible season and an outstanding high school career!

Coleman, a nationally recognized two-way standout and Auburn University commit, helped lead the Seahawks to the Florida Class 3A State Championship and was recently named the Gatorade Florida Baseball Player of the Year. His remarkable accomplishments on the field have made our community proud.

We're especially grateful that Coleman and his South Walton High School Baseball teammates took time to give back by volunteering with Habitat Walton. During a recent build day, they helped lay sod at one of our Habitat homes, making a direct impact on a local family's path to homeownership.

Thank you, Coleman, for being a champion both on and off the field. We wish you the very best as you begin the next chapter of your journey at Auburn and beyond. Your Walton County community will be cheering you on every step of the way!

🏠 Do You Habitat?

We welcome both individual and group volunteers and would love to get you involved in building strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.
