🏈 South Walton Seahawks – Important Health Update 🏈
Next Friday is EKG Screening Day for our athletes.
Due to new legislation, all athletes in the Class of 2030 and beyond are required to complete an EKG screening in order to participate in sports.
Thanks to a generous grant from the St. Joe Foundation, the Walton County School District is able to offer this opportunity to ALL current athletes — not just those required.
❤️ Why this matters:
Sudden Cardiac Arrest is the #1 cause of death in high school athletes, and early detection can save lives. This is a simple step that can make a life-changing difference.
📲 What to do:
• Scan the QR code to register your athlete
• A $20 donation is suggested, but NOT required
• If needed, simply select “need assistance” to waive the fee
🚨 Important Note:
Incoming freshmen from ECMS will have their own separate screening day — they will NOT be screened with South Walton.
