What a week. ❤️
*Came for the Game, Stayed for the People* reached #6 on Amazon’s Best Sellers list in Racket Sports and #2 in New Releases!
And the best part? It happened because people showed up.
You bought it. Shared it. Told your friends. Sent messages. And celebrated right alongside me.
This book started with pickleball, but it was never really about the game. It’s about friendship, belonging, resilience, and the incredible things that can happen when people keep showing up for one another.
That’s exactly what I’ve watched happen in the Fit Pickleballer community—and it’s why seeing this little book sitting at number 6 meant so much more than a number.
Thank you for showing up. ❤️
P.S. The actual books are still on their way, but apparently the GIANT version arrived first. 😂

IT’S HERE. 💙🏓
Nine months ago, I started writing a book about the people I’d met through pickleball.
Then I realized something.
I wasn’t really writing about pickleball.
I was writing about friendship. Belonging. Resilience. Starting over. Finding confidence. Laughing again. And what can happen when we find the courage to simply show up.
Today, “Came for the Game, Stayed for the People” is officially available on Amazon — in both Kindle and paperback!💙
Inside are 18 true stories of people who found something on a pickleball court they never expected to find.
And my companion journal, “Quietly Brave: A Reflection Journal,” is officially available too—a place to take the lessons from these stories and turn them inward.
Before anything else, THANK YOU.To everyone who has followed this journey, encouraged me, asked about the book, shared your excitement and cheered me on these past nine months—I have felt your support every step of the way.
And if you’ve ever played with me, taken one of my classes, encouraged another player or helped someone new feel welcome—you’re part of the reason I believe so deeply in this message.
Want to help me give this little book the biggest possible start?
💙 Kindle is just $2.99 during launch week, and both Kindle and paperback are available now. Purchasing a copy TODAY between 9:00 AM and 12:00 PM Central is an incredible way to help give it a strong start and gain visibility on Amazon.

Then read it. Share it. Leave a review if it speaks to you. And come back and tell me which story touched you most.
We come for the game.
But we stay for the people. 🥰

It’s been a really full week, and somewhere in the middle of it all, I was reminded all over again why I love coaching so much. ❤️
This week I welcomed three new six-week Fit Pickleballer groups—Level 2, Level 3+, and this brand-new group of beginners. Three different places in their pickleball journey, but the same excitement about learning, improving, and having fun.
I love watching someone try something new and seeing that moment when it finally clicks. And that very first beginner class will always be one of my favorites—the curiosity, a little nervousness, lots of laughter, and everyone figuring it out together.
At the end of class, I always ask, “What’s your takeaway?” Usually I hear something about a skill or technique we worked on. But last night one of my new beginners said, “I’m so glad I showed up. That’s my takeaway. I came.”
That one got me. ❤️
Because that’s what Fit Pickleballer has always been about for me. Yes, I love teaching pickleball, but even more than that, I love creating a place where people feel comfortable walking through the door, trying something new, meeting new people, laughing at themselves a little, and discovering what might happen simply because they showed up.
After a very busy week, these groups filled my cup.
Welcome to all of my new Level 2, Level 3+, and beginner players. I’m so glad you showed up, too. 🏓❤️
What a week at Fit Pickleballer! 🙌🏓
We wrapped up THREE different 6-week classes this week, squeezed in some seriously fun Open Play, celebrated lots of progress, lots of laughs, and — as always — plenty of great pickleball.
One of my favorite things is watching what happens over the course of a class. People come in wanting to improve their game, but somewhere between the drills, missed shots, great gets, ridiculous rallies and lots of laughter, something else happens too. They get more confident. They start playing more. And they find people they genuinely enjoy being on the court with.
And to all of you who keep showing up, playing, laughing, encouraging each other and making new people feel welcome — thank you. You are what makes this little Fit Pickleballer community so special. 💙
And now we get to do it all over again! New Fit Pickleballer groups start next week, and I can’t wait to welcome some new faces along with plenty of familiar ones.
My upcoming classes are currently full, but I do have a few spots available in both Friday Open Play groups. If you’ve been wanting to get on the court with us, send me a message and I’ll give you the details!
Where Fitness Meets Fun. 💙🏓
One of my favorite parts of Fit Pickleballer happens when we put the paddles down. ❤️
Seventeen people came out for our Fit Pickleballer social at Lawless Brewery, and it was everything I hoped it would be.
We spent the first hour catching up, meeting new people, and laughing together before diving into trivia. We had so many people we actually had to split into TWO teams!
Let’s just say I’m much better with a pickleball paddle than I am at trivia...thank goodness my teammates knew all kinds of random facts. 😂
The best part wasn’t whether we got the answers right. It was watching friendships grow, seeing spouses join the fun, and hearing conversations continue long after everyone arrived.
This is what makes our community so special.
Yes, we come together because of pickleball.
But it’s the people that keep us coming back.
Thank you to everyone who came and made it such a fun evening. ❤️
Now tell me...should we squeeze in one more brewery and trivia night in August before we head back to our outdoor pickleball socials in September? 🍻
Every Friday, something interesting happens.
People arrive thinking they’re coming to play pickleball.
Then someone remembers their name.
Someone saves them a seat.
Someone asks how their vacation was.
Someone introduces them to a new friend.
Yes, we work on our game.
But somewhere between the rallies, the laughter, and the conversations while waiting to rotate...
a community begins to form.
That’s my favorite part. ❤️🏓

Three reasons I went home smiling after Friday open play...
1️⃣ Someone who was nervous to come... left with new friends from her hometown.
2️⃣ Someone who wasn’t sure she was “good enough”... showed up anyway and realized she belonged.
3️⃣ Someone crawled behind the trampoline to rescue a lost pickleball... and came back with two. 😂🏓
This community makes me smile every single week.
People think they’re signing up to learn pickleball. But they often leave with something even better...
✨ Confidence.
✨ Friendship.
✨ Belonging.
That’s my favorite part. ❤️

Three new groups. Three new journeys. ❤️
This week we kicked off our newest Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3+ six-week programs, and I couldn’t be more excited to welcome everyone to the court.
Every group begins a little differently.
Some players are picking up a paddle for the very first time.
Some are returning because they know growth doesn’t stop after one session.
Some are chasing a new skill.
Some are simply looking for a place to connect.
No matter what brought you here, I’m so glad you’re part of this community.
Over the next six weeks, we’ll celebrate progress, encourage one another, laugh a lot, and keep building something that’s about so much more than pickleball.
Welcome to our newest groups...you belong here. ❤️
👇 If you’re in one of these groups, tell us what you’re most excited about over the next six weeks!

Every once in a while, someone puts into words exactly what you’ve been hoping people experience all along.
Then you realize...
Maybe we’re building something even bigger than we imagined. ❤️
When I started Fit Pickleballer, my goal wasn’t just to teach serves, d***s, and strategy.
It was to create a place where people felt welcomed instead of intimidated.
Where strangers became friends.
Where confidence grew both on and off the court.
Where everyone felt like they belonged.
, thank you for putting into words what this community means to you. Your review touched my heart.
If you’ve been thinking about trying pickleball but have been nervous to start, I hope this encourages you.
You don’t have to know anyone.
You don’t have to be athletic.
You just have to show up.
❤️ You belong here.
