Originated in the 15th century as a means to preserve meats, today charcuterie showcases more like an art form-each piece intentionally selected and carefully displayed to create a masterpiece that appeals to the eyes as much as the palate. While I enjoy traditional boards heaped with savory meats, speciality cheeses and seasonal accoutrements, customizing spreads for special events or seasonal soirées is my passion. I truly enjoy the artistry behind a unique theme and presentation that both surprises and delights my clients.

/ About Me / My name is Shelly. I’m the founder and chief designer for A Life Styled, which is a 30-A based aesthetics and event design company.

Art and a consideration of lifestyle aesthetics was impressed upon me at a young age and has since shaped the way I live. Growing up, I found myself drawn to fine art and photography, loving the imaginative qualities and subjective emotional experience of artistic creation. However, disenchanted by the computer-based, mass production of art that I discovered in college, psychology took center stage in my collegiate career, propelling me to a doctoral degree and later a private practice. Several years after starting a family, homeschooling my children presented as an opportunity too precious to pass up. It was then that I closed the door on my therapy practice and unknowingly opened the door to a lifestyle brand. My love for art and homemaking - by way of decorating, entertaining and event planning - flourished over the years and beyond the bounds of our family as I found myself serving as a creative consultant and event designer for local businesses. Today, my passion and business centers around helping clients cultivate distinct personal styles that translate into strikingly unique and meaningful event experiences.
