30A Cats
Contact information, map and directions, contact form, opening hours, services, ratings, photos, videos and announcements from 30A Cats, Animal Rescue Service, Santa Rosa Beach, FL.
Focused on TNR (trapping, neutering, releasing), finding loving homes for the kittens and cats we rehab, and education, we are committed to working with our neighbors, community organizations, and other animal rescue groups.
Meet Stormy, a tiny survivor with a big personality! This adorable kitten was rescued from the median of Highway 98 during a powerful thunderstorm, where she was spotted alone and in danger. Thankfully, a kind-hearted rescuer noticed her and brought her to safety.
Since arriving in foster care, Stormy has shown everyone what a special little girl she is. She’s affectionate, playful, and endlessly curious about the world around her. Her expressive eyes seem to follow every conversation, and she has a charming way of looking at you as if she understands exactly what you're saying. She loves exploring her surroundings, investigating new sounds, and soaking up attention from her people.
Stormy has an impressively loud purr for such a small kitten. She has such a loving nature that it makes her easy to adore her!
On top of it - She has already met the foster family's dog and handled the introduction beautifully, showing confidence and no signs of fear. She has also done well around the resident cats, although they haven't quite decided what they think about their new houseguest yet. Based on her easygoing attitude, we believe Stormy would do well in a home with other friendly pets.
Let us know if you’d like to meet her! And for your Iinformation - all of our kitties that go thru adoption get vetted and will be up to date on vaccines & spay/neutered.

As the season has shifted, our area is dealing with an upsurge of new visitors. In light of this, we want to emphasize that 30A Cats remains dedicated to regulating the population of communal felines via Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) initiatives. Due to our reliance on voluntary effort, our capabilities are restricted. We encourage contributions and active engagement from the public to help us succeed. Thinking About Adopting a Cat but Worried About Allergies?
We’ve received quite a few questions from potential adopters about cat allergies and how to manage them. While allergy severity varies from person to person, there are steps you can take that may help reduce exposure to allergens and make living with a cat more comfortable.
Cat allergies are most commonly triggered by Fel d 1, a protein found in a cat’s saliva, dander, and urine. Because cats groom themselves, this protein ends up on their fur and throughout the home.
Here are a few ways to help reduce allergens:
✔️ Bathe and groom your cat regularly (if your cat tolerates it)
✔️ Vacuum and clean frequently to remove dander
✔️ Use HEPA air purifiers and high-quality HVAC filters
✔️ Wash hands after handling your cat and avoid touching your face
✔️ Keep certain areas, such as bedrooms, pet-free when possible
✔️ Consider dietary management
One option many adopters have found helpful is Purina Pro Plan LiveClear Cat Food. This cat food is scientifically designed to reduce active Fel d 1 allergens in cat hair and dander. According to Purina, daily feeding can reduce the major allergen in cat hair and dander by an average of 47% after about three weeks.
How does it work?
🥚 LiveClear contains a specific protein sourced from eggs that binds to Fel d 1 in the cat’s saliva, helping neutralize it before it spreads onto the cat’s fur during grooming.
While no product can completely eliminate cat allergies, combining dietary management with regular cleaning and air filtration may help reduce allergen exposure for many people.
So if you’ve always dreamed of adopting a 30A Kitty but worried your allergies might get in the way, don’t give up on the idea just yet! With the right management strategies, you may be able to open your heart and home to a rescue cat and give them the chance to live all nine of their lives. 🐱💛

Meet Jack - an adorable orange tabby kitten, approximately 3 months old, with a playful personality and endless kitten energy! He gets along wonderfully with other cats and would thrive in a home with a young feline companion who can keep up with his active, fun-loving spirit.
Jack is still scheduled to be neutered and will be fully up to date on his vaccinations before his adoption is finalized. In the meantime, he is available through our Foster-to-Adopt program, giving him the opportunity to settle into his new home while waiting for his neuter appointment.
If you're looking for a sweet, energetic kitten to brighten your home and think Jack might be the perfect fit for your family, we'd love to hear from you!

Most people think a cat becomes more affectionate when you give them more attention.
In reality, the opposite is often true.
Cats are drawn to people who make them feel comfortable, not people who constantly seek interaction. Every time you interrupt a nap, pick them up unexpectedly, or insist on a cuddle, you’re making the relationship about what you want instead of what they need.
The cats that seem the most loving usually have one thing in common: they feel free to say no.
When your cat knows they can walk away without being chased, leave without being grabbed, and approach without pressure, they start spending more time around you on their own.
Trust grows in those small moments of choice.
Instead of trying to get your cat to tolerate more affection, focus on becoming someone they enjoy being near. Give them space. Respect their signals. Let them decide when interaction begins and ends.
The result isn’t a cat that puts up with cuddles.
It’s a cat that actively seeks them out.
Wake up, little kitties! Good grief, are you on strike? Have you become that lazy?
Maybe I should serve breakfast in bed and hand-feed you bonbons, too!

Tuesday and FryDay
These two little love bug boys are searching for their forever family!
They're incredibly cute, playful, and full of personality. They love zooming around the house during playtime, and once they've burned off their energy, they're more than happy to curl up in their foster's lap for cuddles.
They're almost ready for their spa day and will officially be available for adoption soon!
In the meantime, they can go home now through our foster-to-adopt program. That means you can welcome them into your home right away while we continue to cover their remaining vaccinations and neuter appointments as they settle into their new lives.
Interested in meeting these sweet babies?
Send us a message. They can be adopted together or separately if you're looking for a companion kitty.

If your cat needs dental work, which many cats do! - this is the best way to get on the schedule st Operation Spay Bay.
Dental work is very intensive and long procedures. It can be hard to get in at your vet - and of course it is costly because of the amount of time takes.
