30A Cats has a whole bunch of mysterious black cats!

They SHOULD have been our stars for National Black Cat Day, but somehow we had so many other things happening that we completely missed our chance to show them off!

So we’re making up for it now. Meet our beautiful black cats!

Did you know black cats can be some of the sweetest, most loving cats around? And we’ve got a little bit of everything—different sizes, ages and ATTITUDES!

And then there’s Sugar… technically a tortie, so she’s more black-ish. But don’t hold that against her—she is 100% pure Sugar!

Black cats are mysterious.
Black cats are beautiful.
Black cats are often overlooked and sadly
the last to be adopted. Let’s change that!

Maybe it’s time one of these mysterious sweeties became YOUR lucky black cat.

You can see some of these kitties at Cara’s Cat Cafe in Destin and the others we will arrange a meet and greet just for you! Let us know who is on your cat card list!

It’s not even Labor Day and somehow… the tourists are gone and the traffic is light. 😹 So 30ACats and Cara’s Cat Cafe decided it’s time to celebrate the people who support our local cats all year long — YOU!

Cara’s is opening early at 10 AM, and 30ACats is picking up the tab for the FREE Cat Lounge from 10 AM–3 PM ONLY! Come spend time with Cara’s wonderful adult cats — and maybe meet one who’s been quietly hoping you’d walk in. ❤️

PARENTS: This is your chance to be the cool parent for a Saturday. 😂 Bring your middle and high schoolers, get everyone fed and caffeinated, and then let the cats do what they do best — help us all heal from the back-to-school chaos with purrs, slow blinks, and soft landings. 🐾

Kids ages 10+ are welcome in the Cat Lounge (10–3 only).

And if you need a lunch recommendation, 30ACats Community Manager Elecia votes for the chicken salad panini with pasta salad. We have photographic evidence that she takes this recommendation very seriously. 😹

No fundraiser. No admission to the Cat Lounge. Just a heartfelt thank you to our locals for loving the cats of 30A.

Come have lunch. Drink some coffee. Shop something catty. Sit with some cats.

And who knows… one of those local cats might decide to love you back. 🧡🐾

Cara’s Cat Cafe + 30ACats

Don’t let the name fool you! Rat is actually one of the sweetest, funniest little guys you’ll meet. He came into foster care as a tiny, spicy kitten, but underneath that fear was a SWEETHEART waiting to come out.

Once Rat decides you’re his person, he is all in. He loves climbing into bed for cuddles, making biscuits, rubbing all over you, and settling in for a long nap by your side. He’s a verified yapper!! He’ll let you know that you’re doing a good job on your rubs and reminds you to keep going when you stop.😉 He’d love a family who will give him a little time to settle in and let him come to them at the beginning. Earn his trust and you’ll get to see just how incredibly affectionate he is.

When he isn’t cuddling? Rat is BUSY. He is ridiculously playful and curious. One of his favorite things in the world is fetch and he’s great at it! It’s hilarious to watch. He loves exploring, zooming around the house, dragging his toys with him, and generally acting like he owns the place. 😂

Rat has been fostered in a home with other cats and has been learning all about life as a real house kitty. He has come so far from the scared little kitten he started as, and watching his goofy personality blossom has been incredibly special. His siblings all found amazing homes and he’s ready to find one himself!

Rat is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and ready for the most important part of his story yet: finding his forever person!🖤🐀

30A Cats is all about community—and when Open Sands Rescue asked if we wanted to help send two of our kittens to Maine to find their forever homes, we jumped at the opportunity!

Love Bug & June Bug are headed to the Portsmouth Animal Refuge League in Maine!

This is more than a transport—it’s a chance to show how brightly our 30A kitties shine and how two local rescues can work together to change little lives. What starts here along 30A can end with a forever family hundreds of miles away.

We’re asking our 30A community to help with a few dollars toward their transport. Every donation helps get these two sweeties one step closer to their furever after!
