💛 Ms. Cassie’s class has been busy exploring their five senses with some fun smell activities! They have also been strengthening their fine motor skills through hands-on learning and play. It’s always a great day to learn!

🌼 Ms. Roberts’ class has been having so much fun playing and learning in centers and exploring on the playground! From using their imaginations in the classroom to enjoying outdoor adventures with friends, these students are making each day full of learning, laughter, and fun!

⭐️⭐️ **Colorful Fun in Ms. Jackson’s Class!** ⭐️⭐️

💚 Ms. Jackson’s class has been having so much fun celebrating Color Days. They have also been working hard on playing cooperatively, sharing, and learning how to work together with their friends. We love seeing these sweet friendships grow as they learn and play together!

⭐️⭐️ Learning & Fun in Ms. Danley’s Class! ⭐️⭐️

🎶 Ms. Danley’s class had a fun-filled week exploring and creating with sand on the playground and enjoying music and movement with light sticks! There’s nothing better than seeing our preschoolers smiling, moving, and having fun with their friends!

⭐️⭐️ **Tasty Fun in Ms. Amy’s Class!** ⭐️⭐️

🍎 Ms. Amy’s class had fun exploring their senses with a quiet and loud tasting snack! The students listened closely as they tasted different foods and discovered which snacks made a quiet sound and which made a loud crunch!

🌟 What a fun way to learn about our five senses through hands-on exploration!

🖍️ Ms. Gray’s class has been busy exploring outside and strengthening their fine motor skills through fun, hands-on activities! We love seeing our little learners explore, create, and learn through play each day!

🎨 Our preschoolers have been having so much fun reviewing and recognizing colors with our special Color Days!

🌟 We have filled our days with colorful activities, creative projects, playful learning, and lots of smiles! Dressing in the color of the day has added even more excitement and given our preschoolers a fun way to connect what they are learning to the world around them.

🌈 And the colorful fun isn't over yet! We will continue our Color Days next week with even more colors, activities, and dress-up fun!

🏆 The latest Florida Voluntary Prekindergarten (VPK) Program Accountability rankings have been released, and Bay School has been given an Excellent Rating!

This recognition reflects what happens each day within the walls of our historic school—children learning, exploring, creating, playing, building relationships, and developing the skills they need to enter kindergarten ready to succeed.

Walton County School District goes beyond the minimum educational requirements for VPK instructors by ensuring that district VPK teachers hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree.

Our teachers understand that preparing children for kindergarten is about much more than teaching isolated academic skills. It is about developing the whole child through intentional teacher-directed instruction balanced with child-initiated exploration, play, interaction, and meaningful experiences.

As the oldest school still operating in Walton County, Bay School has been part of this community since 1938. We are proud to preserve the history and traditions of this very special school while continuing to provide high-quality, innovative early childhood education for today's youngest learners.

For generations, children have walked through the doors of Bay School ready to learn, grow, and discover what they are capable of achieving. That tradition continues today.
