A story from “Fasting and the Longevity Revolution” - Documentary by Academy Award Nominees Barry Alexander Brown (Director), Edward Norton (Narrator), and Chiara Tilesi (Producer). Inspired by Dr. Valter Longo’s research and books.

After discovering a lump and being diagnosed with aggressive triple-negative breast cancer, Nora Quinn began a course of radiation and chemotherapy. Shortly before starting chemotherapy, she came across Professor Valter Longo’s research through a Los Angeles Times article highlighting his work, particularly in the field of fasting. She decided to reach out to him.

More than a decade later, Nora reports that she has shown no evidence of breast cancer recurrence or any other form of cancer.

Her story highlights the potential role of nutrition and fasting-based approaches as integrative therapies to support the standard of care in cancer treatment.

“Fasting and the Longevity Revolution” examines the science of fasting, nutrition, longevity, and metabolic health through patient experiences, scientific research, and expert perspectives.

June 11 | World Prostate Cancer Day

Prostate cancer remains one of the most common cancers worldwide, highlighting the importance of prevention, awareness, research, and evidence-based care.

Research continues to explore the relationship between metabolic health, nutrition, lifestyle, and cancer outcomes. As discussed in Professor Longo’s book “Fasting Cancer”, nutritional and lifestyle strategies may play a supportive role alongside standard-of-care cancer treatments and should always be evaluated in consultation with oncology teams and medical specialists.

At the Create Cures Foundation, we support an integrative and personalized approach grounded in scientific research, with attention to nutrition, lifestyle, and metabolic health throughout the cancer care journey.
