Hello Expo
We support the Metro Expo Line Phase 2 light-rail to Santa Monica! Metro Expo Line light-rail started service from Downtown LA to Culver City on June 20, 2012.
The construction of the line from Culver City to Santa Monica started in 2011. We started riding electric light-rail trains to Santa Monica on May 20, 2016! We're a coalition of neighbors from the Los Angeles Westside who supported the construction of the Expo Light-Rail Line to Santa Monica and looked forward to using it! While you potheads out there -- you know who you are! -- are celebrating 4/20, today for me is No W**d Day. The city has come through with blocks and blocks of mulch for our long-running guerilla gardening project along the Expo Line (E-Line) Bike Path. First staff knocked down a whole bunch of weeds and then it spread tons of the brown gold. My joy is unmeasurable (or actually it kind of is -- 300 cubic yards worth). Thank you very muLch, Culver City! Thanks also to my partners in the effort, the endlessly persistent Lynn Cutchin, her sweet husband Chris Smith and the long suffering Stephen Roe.

We Did It !!!!!!!!
Expo Line Reaches Ridership Milestone 13 Years Early According to Metro’s official ridership estimates, the Expo Line reached an impressive ridership milestone during the month of June. With a daily average of more than 64,000 boardings, Expo is attracting as many riders in 2017 as it was projected to have in 2030.
The completed Expo Line to Santa Monica turns one, Happy Birthday Expo
February ridership numbers for the Expo Line were the best ever for the five-year-old light rail, with over 55,300 daily riders. Since Expo’s extension opened from Culver City to Santa Monica last summer, the line has been on a major upswing and the recent arrival of rush-hour trains every six minutes during is attracting even more converts.

the Mid-City/Westside Transit Corridor Draft EIS/EIR, released 4/6/2001 -- the last Metro document to estimate full-length ridership for Expo LRT -- projected 51,400 daily boardings in 2020 (Table 5-5). So Expo exceeded its long-term target only seven months after opening to Santa Monica.
