The State of California is offering $8.14M for veteran housing. It’s ours — if we raise $814K by April 1.
176 veterans housed in Year 1. 880 a year by Year 3. A permanent facility — built by this community. Share this post right now. Text the link to someone who cares. Make a final gift — any amount. Donate: gwfbob.org/bridge

We are so close to transforming lives.
An $8.14 MILLION State Grant has been conditionally awarded—but we must raise the remaining funds by March 25 or we lose it.
💥 $606K remaining
💥 Your donation activates a 10X MATCH
💥 This will support nearly 1,000 veterans across Southern California
This isn’t just funding—this is the missing bridge between the street and stable housing.
Through the Global Women Foundation & Band of Brothers initiative, we are building a space where veterans can:
✔ Exit homelessness
✔ Access critical services
✔ Rebuild their lives and community
Every dollar you give multiplies impact. Every share brings us closer.

Before: streets, PTSD, no clear path forward.
After: housed, supported, rebuilding.
That gap — between crisis and stability — is what GWFBOB exists to close.
Not with a handout. With a bridge.
A two-week peer-run respite. Housing navigation. Follow-up support. Jobs. Community.
It sounds simple because it is. And it works because it treats veterans like the humans they are.
Help us scale it. 4 days left. Donate → gwfbob.org/bridge
Most people don’t know this: Veterans are twice as likely as the average adult to experience homelessness.
Female veterans, three times.
We’re not short on funding in California. We’re short on the right model.
This is the right model. Peer-led. Nature-based. Evidence-backed.
And it works — 60+ veterans housed on less than $200K raised. Now a $8.14M state grant is within reach.
But only if we raise $608K by March 25. 5 days left. Donate today: gwfbob.org/bridge
We have 6 days.
A $8.14 million California state grant is waiting — but only if we raise $600K by March 25.
Every dollar donated becomes $10 for veterans facing homelessness in Southern California. Since 2021, on less than $200K raised, we've helped 60+ veterans go from streets to keys.
This grant unlocks the permanent facility to do it at 10x the scale. This is the missing bridge.

For too many veterans, the system leads to the same place:
Crisis care.
Shelters.
Incarceration.
Or back to the street.
What’s missing is short‑term, dignified stabilization outside institutions.
UScension Veterans Peer Respite provides voluntary, peer‑run support in the least restrictive setting — bridging veterans from crisis to long‑term stability.
This is how cycles are interrupted.
From Streets → Housing → Community.

Most people think veteran homelessness is unsolvable.
That’s not true.
What is broken is the system we keep sending veterans back into.
Since 2021, I’ve been on the streets, in shelters, and inside transitional housing — working alongside veterans, not above them.
No spotlight.
No campaigns.
Just the work.
What we learned is simple:
Veterans don’t need another institution.
They need peer-led stabilization, dignity, and a real bridge to housing and work.
That’s why Global Women Foundation & Band of Brothers is building a permanent, peer-run Veteran Stabilization & Housing Hub — designed to move veterans from:
street → housing → long-term stability
So far, this model has:
• Helped 60+ veterans off the streets
• Reduced crisis-system dependence
• Created veteran-led jobs and pathways
And it’s financially sustainable once operational.
Before you scroll past homelessness —
take 4 minutes and hear directly from the veterans themselves.
Watch until the end.
It may change how you see this issue.

Proven Model
Before asking to scale, we proved the model.
Since 2021:
• < $200K raised
• 60+ veterans moved into housing
• Thousands of services delivered
UScension Veterans Peer Respite is veteran‑led, outcomes‑driven, and ready to activate.
This isn’t theory. It’s readiness.

We’re in a rare moment where measured capital can unlock permanent change.
An $820,000 private match positions a pending $8.2M state capital decision—not for another pilot, but for real infrastructure.
This funding activates a Veteran Peer Respite & Stabilization Hub:
• Peer-run
• Non-institutional
• Designed to move veterans from street → housing → community
• Built to reduce crisis cycling and replace emergency spend with durable systems
Projected Impact
Year 1
▪️ 176 veterans housed
▪️ 5,680 peer & housing support services delivered
Year 3
▪️ 880 veterans housed annually
▪️ 11,000 services delivered annually
This model is already proven.
Less than $200K moved 60+ veterans into housing and delivered thousands of services.
Now we scale—with accountability, oversight, and real property tied to outcomes.
If you’re a leader who believes capital should build long-term solutions—not fund endless emergencies, I’m open to private conversations.

🇺🇸 The Stats Are Staggering — and they demand action.
Behind every number is a veteran who served our nation, yet far too many return home only to face homelessness, mental health challenges, and a lack of support.
📊 2X more likely to experience homelessness
📊 3X higher risk for female veterans
📊 17 veterans lost to su***de every single day
📊 56% of homeless veterans are African-American or Hispanic, despite being a small portion of the U.S. population
These aren’t just statistics—they are lives. Families. Heroes.
At GWFBOB, we’re fighting to change these outcomes through housing, wellness, community programs, and long-term support.

🇺🇸 Stories From the Vets Themselves
Deavin’s story is a painful reminder of the gaps far too many veterans still face. After serving our nation, he sought help—and instead was handed a tent.
No veteran should ever have to wonder why they were left behind.
At GWFB & Band of Brothers, we’re committed to building real solutions: housing, healing, and community for those who sacrificed for us.
