A new WIP: Remembrance Stones, representing people I have known and loved who have died in the last 30 years. Each stone signifies an individual, to be customized with embroidery. The straps represent the grief I feel, missing these dear friends and family. It’s a solemn piece, but it has brought me a lot of solace.

"Storm Damage," representing 45 years of trauma experiencing hurricanes and other weather events on the Texas Gulf Coast. It's not until you start one of these pieces that you realize the level of fear and pain. Lord, I hate a hurricane.

Found this beautiful round leaf in St. Petersburg over the weekend, around the corner from this huge, gorgeous waxy tree. It’s called a seagrape — and it’s on its way into some kind of project!

This mixed media piece, Borderline Humanity, will be part of a fibers show entitled “Spaces Between,” held in partnership between between the Surface Design Association and FloridaCraftArt, from March 28-May 17 in St. Petersburg, FL.
