Thank you Tripadvisor for riding with us and sharing The Stargazer experience with your community! It is truly out of this world! ✨

"This out-and-back ride is scheduled around the new moon (a.k.a the darkest evenings of the month)—plus you’ve got a pretty good chance of seeing the stars at their brightest, thanks to New Mexico's 300-plus nights of clear skies a year.

You’ll enter one of three restored passenger coaches that range from 70 to 100 years old to find live music, complimentary pours of champagne, and snacks inside.

Pro-tip: Order the charcuterie board online when you buy your tickets, since they’re first come, first served onboard.

Along the way, an astronomer will share info about the constellations and planets above and even pass around, say, a chunk of meteorite from their collection. Once you arrive at the stopping point, proceed to the open-air flatbed car for the astronomer’s laser presentation (binoculars provided)."

🍷 Winery Partner Spotlight with Sheehan Winery!

Introducing Sheehan Winery, one of the winery partner for our New Mexico Wine Train experience! Sheehan winery was founded by Sean Sheehan, the first official sale was December 2015.

He has been in the wine industry since the early 2000's as a chemist and assistant winemaker, and started making his own wine in 2010. He started out with seven wines and now they make over 50, all from New Mexico grown grapes!

Sheehan's mission is to not only make the best wine in the state, but to help put New Mexico wine as a whole on the map.

One wine that you will experience onboard is the Chambourcin, which is made from grapes grown at their Bosque Farms Elyce vineyard. It is one of Sean's flagship wines and received the best wine in the state in 2018. The Cinsault Rose [pronounced 'Sin-So'] is a French varietal grown in the southern part of the state near Las Cruces, is a gold medal winner many times at the state level, and its beautiful hue comes from leaving the grape skins in contact with the juice for about an hour.

All of the wines at Sheehan are super clean, grown organically and they don't add a bunch of extra sulfates and nitrates in as preservatives, so you can enjoy a glass or two without that headache the next day — BONUS We have a tasting room where you can enjoy all of our wines in Old Town Albuquerque, and a smaller one in Red River, NM and of course, they are a part of our tastings onboard the New Mexico Wine Train!

Book your ride now and experience our fabulous New Mexico wines! 🎟️ https://bit.ly/3Sx3A4Y
