Review: DRACULA: A FEMINIST REVENGE FANTASY at Santa Fe Playhouse Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy by Kate Hamill at the Santa Fe Playhouse provides insightful commentary on the nature of predators in a post “me-too” world through a retelling of Bram Stoker’s Dracula with a refocus that frames women at the center of the story.

'Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy' slays gender roles with twist of Stoker classic In “Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy,” there are no sparkling vampires, but there is a twist on the Bram Stoker classic. Breshaun Joyner, who plays Doctor Van Helsing, said that in the play, one is the hunter, Van Helsing, and Dracula is the hunted, and gender-bending amplifies this idea.

Excited to announce that I will be joining the cast of Kate Hamill’s Dracula: A Feminist Revenge Fantasy as Marilla.
