I never really like to share too much too soon, so I rarely post sketches of things I’m working on until after I’m done with a project.. so I thought this would be a fun way to share a “sneak peak”, if you will, of the upcoming installment of embrujo “No.2 - The Trinity”. Multiple sketches layered and distorted. Let’s see what you can see in this image… 🖤

La Comunidad Es Familia - Community Is Family
Just a reminder that family is more than just blood.. they can be your neighbors, your friends, your community! They are the people who show up for you, who support you and your endeavors, who lift you up when you need lifting, who take you in when you have nowhere else to go, and who feed you physically and spiritually when you need nourishment.
I would also like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a happy pride month.. but also to remind some that pride is not just one month of the year but rather everyday of our lives. The fight for justice, equality, and human rights is an ongoing battle.. never stop fighting!

A sign of spring.. the blooming of local wild flowers and herbs is one of the truest tell tale signs of the changing seasons.
It has always been a tradition in my family, as a way of welcoming the spring, to go up to the mountains and forage for ‘Chimaja’, a wild herb used in cooking and remedios. It only grows in dry and sandy soils and many families keep their hunting spots a well kept secret! One fond memory I have of growing up in Northern New Mexico is going to pick this herb at the start of spring with my family and my grandfather offering a prize of a nickel to the first person to find one!
Keeping with tradition 🌱💚
