Last minute shopping? We’re here and we’ve got the goods 🎅🏽🤶🏽

So late last year we had the opportunity to buy out an old Western store in southern New Mexico. What was supposed to be a cut and dry day trip lasting only a few hours turned into an all day to night adventure. The U-Haul was the highlight as it broke down at Walking Sands Rest Area about an hour outside of Albuquerque. Esteban had to wait for EIGHT HOURS to have the truck towed because U-Haul couldn’t fix it or find an available replacement. When one finally became available Esteban had to drive back to Albuquerque to pick it up and then continue on south.
Meanwhile, Megan had taken Hawthorne out of school to help. Upon arriving at the store, Esteban was told that everything had to be removed by midnight! So he, the owners, Megan and the kiddo worked loading the new U-Haul from 5:00 until the shop was more or less completely empty! When we finally finished we decided to leave the haul at the home of the owners overnight and drive it to Albuquerque the following morning. After a good night sleep we took the good to a storage unit where it all sat until this week.
And now we will be adding cool new pieces from an important New Mexico shop that outfitted cowboys and ranchers for over two decades. We hope you enjoy the pictures from our bonkers little adventure!

We just watched the Netflix Documentary, Buy Now! The Shopping Conspiracy and it reinforced our commitment sustainability. Oftentimes we find really cool items that just need a simple mend, button or cleaning. Please consider buying second hand this holiday season. Esteban found this cool Singer tin so we never have cookie confusion
