Sacred Activism can be described as a practice of compassion-in-action that infuses spiritual awareness, knowledge, courage, and love into transforming our human presence on the planet towards peace, justice, regeneration, liberation and healing.

Being grounded in a relationship to our world as sacred and ourselves as held in a much larger and more mysterious whole, is an antidote to the type of activism that causes burn-out or worse, can turn us into precisely what we are trying to change.

This approach sees no separation between matter and spirit, as Indigenous peoples’ world-view has always done.

We are fortunate to have many brilliant models, both historical and present day, for such activism, among which our own beloved mentor Joanna Macy.

In this spirit, Anneke and I are co-creating Leading from the Feminine, Weaving the World Anew, where we’ll feature extraordinary and diverse examples of heart-centered leadership, grounded in relational intelligence and the integration of our whole selves.

I am thrilled to announce that the launch of the first newsletter will happen tomorrow, Monday September 9th. It'll come out twice a month, costs nothing, and I hope will nourish your spirit as we navigate this tumultuous and wildly distracting (and misogynistic) time.
