Agile 3PLs say “Yes.” One underappreciated advantage to working with truly agile 3PLs is their ability to confidently commit to time deadlines. Think about the power that affords you in your logistics role.

The power to say ”yes.”

-- Marketing wants to know if you can double order throughput to support a week-long summer promotion. YES.
-- Your biggest retail customer asks if you can create 25,000 kits in 2 weeks for a holiday gift promotion. YES.
-- Purchasing asks if you can find 10,000 square feet of space to support a short-term inventory build-up. YES.

When asked about the secret to his success, hockey legend Wayne Gretzky famously said that he skated to where the puck was going to be. Important in hockey. Even more important in supply chains, where a lack of planning can bring your business to its knees.

Are you and your 3PLs having conversations about market trends that affect your business…and what you need to do about it? An agile 3PL not only understands where the market is headed but is close enough to your business to spot the trouble points and provide guidance accordingly.

Slow…....down….....

It’s not easy to do in the hyper-fast world of logistics. But, as Weber CCO Dave Sosnowski shares in Episode 1 of the podcast, it’s often vital.

Customer service in logistics is not just about answering emails or forwarding tracking numbers.

It is about ownership, communication, and operational follow-through.

When orders are delayed, inventory is off, retailer requirements change, or urgent updates are needed, the quality of your 3PL’s customer service becomes very clear.

At Weber Logistics, our customer service culture is built around experienced logistics professionals who understand warehousing, transportation, retail compliance, and customer communication.

Because customers trust us with more than freight. They trust us with their brand, timelines, retailer relationships, and peace of mind.

CAN YOUR 3PL PARTNER SUPPORT YOUR HIGHS AND LOWS?

Peak season planning is not just about finding extra pallet positions. It’s about finding a partner that can support your business across its full operating cycle.

At your lowest volumes, you need efficiency and cost control. At your highest volumes, you need speed, accuracy, labor availability, transportation coordination, and the ability to adapt quickly when plans change.

But volume fluctuations don’t always ebb and flow as expected. Your 3PL partner must be able to adjust without allowing disruptions to ripple across the entire supply chain.

Weber Logistics has expanded operations in Houston, giving shippers more flexibility in one of the country’s most important freight markets.

The goal in Houston is not simply to move freight. It is to replicate the Weber experience.

There will always be someone willing to quote a lower rate. But when one provider comes in dramatically below the market, shippers should ask why.

If most carriers are quoting around the same range and one provider is far below everyone else, that discount may signal one of several issues. The carrier may not fully understand the complexity of the freight. They may be cutting corners operationally. Or they may be pricing work simply to keep trucks moving during a difficult market.

That kind of pricing can create risk for the shipper.
